Bit more done, the black forks were removed and the extra lugs machined off and then shot blasted to look more period. Disc mounting spacer finished and inserts put into forks for the caliper bracket which also got made. Forks stripped and rebuilt with new seals and oil. I’ve gone for the standard springs and 15w oil. I’ve got some slightly stiffer springs but I’ll ride it first. The forks are off a 145kg bike and this will be 90kg so they may be ok.

Hagon shocks have been fitted too so that’s e rolling chassis done and it looks ace Paid some duty today so think the tank is here too

Exciting day, 200cc big bore kit, high comp piston, stage 2 cam, flowed head

Just needs fly wheel removing and a plate machining to take the PVL ignition then new clutch plates and springs. Still need to decide on a carb as the other bikes have smooth bores that cost £450.....guess I’ll need the same

200cc four stroke, I would guess at a 34mm ish carb, I'm assuming you're not allowed flatslides so the best would be a Keihin CR33, no idea what these cost but Allens will, the carb of an old two stroke 125 MX bike will work just as well, you won't really need to worry about anything other than the main jet as it will be flat out everywhere.

You could be brave and go for a Lectron if you're allowed in the rules.

Yup no flat slides allowed, Allens are the ones who supplied the smoothbore carbs for the others so it's probably the way to go

Get one from Allens, they're really helpful, you can buy them cheaper from the US, but Allens help is worth the extra cost.
Don't buy a cheap carb off eBay, they're crap, a 40 year old 2nd hand Mikuni VM34 would be better.
