That's a 22 with an exhaust, just showing @Taipan the gap an exhaust leaves.

Think I prefer the exhaust your one has, that other one looks like a cannon hanging out the back!

I just looked at the Husky equivalent. Hideous.

The stock 22 is the same as mine as as is often with KTM, fits the aesthetics better than aftermarket cans. An exhaust would have been a consideration for me, but that pic and others really put me off one.

I did nearly have a radical decision yesterday though and debated a 2022 690SMC-R. I didn't think the difference in price was that much, even factoring in a first service cost, but the dealer said "well, we're not really sure when we'll get it, could be a month, could be 6 months".... So i stuck with my decision on the earlier one.
The eldest sons mate went in to order a new R7 .... he was told delivery in September, probably, hopefully.
I keep looking for almost new, really low mileage R6's for him just in case something pops up....nothing yet that isnt stupid money
Enjoy the new toy
@weeksy ... hopefully it will be on track at Pembrey so i can see it

I guess the other question is now whether i go full Supermoto gimp and throw the MX and goggles into the discussion.
I'm slightly restricted by the fact i need to wear specs to improve my vision, it's not 'essential' but it's certainly better than not in terms of vision.
I've now found out you can get OTG goggles (over the glasses) which potentially opens up the options a little. But i worry it's still a bit overly gimpy and sad.. lol. However, it's also pretty damn cool at the same time.

I think fogging up would be the biggest issue though, i get that enough on the standard helmets with the glasses so i reckon it would even increase the fogging issues.

I did the MX lid and goggles when I was 22. Not sure I'd bother now. MX lids are noisy and things like a bee in the cheek or a stone at 70mph bloody hurts.

Tour-X or the HJC equivalent is the answer.
The side panels on the Husky above look like they came off a 1985 GSXR 750

The Tour-X4 is designed to be worn with goggles if you remove the visor, so you can have it either way.

only if your nose is inside the goggles

This is true, if you get goggles that fit they won't fog up

Well it's either them or Mickey Mouse jobbies, obviously the bike comes with handguards, so can't fit bar end mirrors easily.
Just been watching some of Lamb Chop blokeys videos, he's not really someone i like much, but he's done a LOT of work to his SMC-R.

You can use a longer bolt for the handguard mount and also put it through a bar end mirror - this is what I did on my Husky, but it still looked stupid.

Back when I had a few Supermotos, I used those little car blind spot mirrors clamped to the handguard.
They weren't great but at least you had an idea of what was happening behind / alongside you, plus they are cheap.
Something like this clamped to the top edge of the handguard.

You don’t even need to remove the visor, I ride mine at night using clear goggles with the black visor pushed up to normal raises position

Yeah I can't see it at the moment. There's too many things I need in the world, the nxr in white will suite the bike well, plus I'm not 22.
I may pick up the ergo/comfort seat before anything else.
