The RTTL trackday at Pembrey was a clear highlight. Didn't do huge amounts of riding this year overall, maybe just over 1000 miles in total. Hopefully next year is better, maybe a change of bike and a few more trips.

Everything was going fine , out most Saturdays either on my own or with a few mates but a heart attack in mid August has stopped any of the plans for longer rides.

Still plan to get out if there's a dry day but the warmer weather of 23 can't come soon enough.

Cheers Yorick

Looking forward to getting back to normal if I'm honest and start full time work again from next Monday which feels like a good step .

If you fancy a few days for free over here in Lanzarote over winter, we're happy to accommodate you.

Scuff: stent/s? If it's any help, I was in the same place 18 months ago, stented and back to normal. I still don't take as much proper exercise as I should, but after 12mths on 2 anticoagulants, I'm now back to normal life, including the bike, thankfully.

Pretty bloody spiffing as it started with the new bike

I'd expected to change bikes this year but not for a brand new one and not for a 1000cc either. Happily I've been really enjoying the bike and can see it staying for quite some time

In terms of trips I didn't do either my South Coast or South West trips that I'd planned this year but I did manage a few Suffolk/Essex coast runs and plenty of fun rides on weekends. I think I've hit about 2500 miles now so less than I'd hoped but not terrible and I've only used the bike for work 2-3 times so it's pretty much all been fun mileage 8-)

I'm hoping the year might not be quite done yet as this weekend is looking dry (finally) and temps are looking ok so thinking at least 1 more ride.

Got plenty of things in mind for next year and I really need to make them happen. I've ended up with 10 days of holiday to take before the end of March which is pants unless we have a good March. If we do I'm using most of them for rides. If not then I need to be less conservative with booking my holidays (I get 30 days plus 5 at Xmas). South West trip is definitely next year and I want to do at least 1 other overnight.
