The 750 is the same engine as the NC750X and S and is very low revving and it may not be enough for you after the MT? The Africa Twin is a completely different animal altogether. It is quite quick and very responsive in S3 mode but its a big old girl and not the best for filtering.

I have a 12 mile commute and there honestly isn't any point that I think I needed anything more than my 300.

As for discounts, not a lot of chance, I think they're pretty much selling everything they can get in scooter wise these days. I did manage to get £300 off my brand new Xmax, but the dealer cocked it up, told me that's how much it would be, then there was such a delay in the scooters release, I think he would have felt awkward asking me for full price. I very nearly cancelled my order and went with a Honda. And the Yamaha dealer knew it.

70/80 is enough, but I would want to go France or the likes on it, also as soon as I pulled away I knew it was not for me. still liked it though.
