Now that's a word I'd like to bring back.

As a kid I got pissed off coz Japanese bikes has screw heads made of cheese and I had shit tools. And always outside in the rain.
Now all our bikes are newish and I have all the tools.
Just wheel the bike to the dedicated carpeted area and relax.
Tune the garage speakers to Planet Rock and take my time.
All tools instantly to hand and no rush

Can do all cycle parts and service items.

I'd hate to work on old stuff or do restorations

The o/e casing screws on early Jap bikes got a bad rep because we wrongly thought the heads were Phillips,but they were and are JIS. It was years down the line before I even knew. I use JIS tools on the H1 and it's a doddle,no ballsing about with impact drivers and the like.

One of my very best purchases were a pair of JIS T-drivers in #2 and #3 when I first started working on small Hondas back in the 60s. The local dealer strongly recommended them and I have always been grateful for that advice. In fact I still have the #3 driver, but the #2 was (I'm pretty sure) stolen many years ago.

I did melt the A off with the high level exhaust Druid fitted though.

If you look carefully at the photo you'll see a small dark area at the edge of the plate, near the A. It's a burn mark

Well it didn't work Delamalinated a started peeling/separating, then failed the MOT.

Roomie away to Tucson early Thursday AM so I'll have the entire garage to myself for a week. Perfect timing as I'll swap out the suspendies on the SBH in the garage instead of of having to wait for the pissing rain to stop.

So I'll get *my garage time*

I really miss my double garage. I wasn't really using it much since Mrs GP got MS and I started spending what was spare time doing the domestics and particularly spending time in the kitchen.
Since we moved, I've got 2 sheds and a single garage just up the road. The 16 x 8 shed is getting insulated, lined and sorted this spring and will be my new happy place. I've also got a potting shed / greenhouse thing which has potential to be a fun retreat, at present its just used for wintering plants and for my Youngest to smoke in!

We've a decent sized double garage which is adjacent to my home office, so my own little world

Unfortunately a lot of gardening shit and 6 pushbikes also have taken home in there, so job for spring is a new big shed out back to relocate said shit.....
