Dropped off some crap at the local thrift store yesterday

Came home with these for $3.96...

Saw a set of vintage gear/bearing pullers, but left without them. Went back today & paid $19.64 for them..

Feeling pretty good about the price as an identical set just sold on EBay for $180, and there's currently one of those Proto 1509 body file holders on there for $50..

Einhell chainsaw with 3.8 Ah battery bought last summer to take down the middle of the 3 trunks of a holly in the back garden, proving to be really capable, thought I’d need a bigger battery but haven’t had to charge it yet, even with it living in the boot of the car over winter.

Are they any good for gloss/satin water based paint? I've a yup of chateau volants to paint, and atm it takes an hour/coat/side and its deffo 2 top coats.

Quite impressed with Einhell stuff. I thought it was just another generic brand for Screwfix products but the pump I bought is really well made (in China obvs) and seems a cut above the usual brands that you only seem to find at Screwfix.

I bought it to do fence panels with stain,but I'm going to try emulsion in it as I have some decorating to do. I suspect you'd have to water it down so much it'd need many coats? I'll report back when I've tried it but I'm hoping to dodge the task fro some time yet!

If its one of those stains that needs a good shake to mix the heavy stuff up from the bottom, be aware that the sprayer may not pick up the heavy stuff very well as you go along.

I've never used one, but I don't think they're meant for cutting paving slabs?

Proper Alladin's den of old tools, all stacked precariously on top of each other in old boxes. Lots of old imperial and a smattering of metric, some engineering and wood working stuff.

@Rockburner if you're in the area take a strong bag to strap on your bike, you'll need it.

Bought a 19mm spanner, an old toolbox and a chunky cold chisel for a fiver, bargain.

Might even take the missus on a seaside jaunt and pay him another vist.

We had a 'vintage' street market nearby recently and one of the stalls was all old, scrubbed up, tools and kit like proper watering cans etc. Some really nice things that you probably wouldn't use but are just nice things. (At a price).

There was a similar stand at a showground event nearby a while ago - much cheaper. I think it was just an old chap's hobby. I bought an old shoe last that makes an excellent doorstop and a set of antique surgical instruments.

One of the fork seals on my SV650 started leaking,so I swapped it out last weekend,but couldn't find the plastic pipe I used last time I did a fork oil seal.I ended up driving the new seal in using the old seal as a drift,but I've lost my touch & sure enough after a good ride out the other day the new seal started leaking,so I looked on Ebay for a Fork Seal tool & got this drift for about £18 delivered
It's for 39mm - 50mm forks

Time to get the spanners out again
