If the builder had destroyed a VT500 to make that, I would have said it was a bit of an improvement... but I quite liked the Transalp.

I'd have been quite happy if I'd managed to transform the box of transalp and Africa twin bits I once had into something remotely resembling that.

To be fair to the XSR, it's better looking than any of the KTM road bikes, but since my taste in bikes is very 1980s and 90s I'm really not in a position to criticise - I've got so middle aged that today I commented how great it was to have a trailer to pick up fence panels with, I think I may have turned the corner into OLD
