Put new rear tyre on GasGas so spent 3 hours being silly on the big sandy climbs. Nowt fancy, just full noise and hang on
Came back the scenic route along 2,000 cliffs. The clouds looked cool climbing up from Famara up the cliffs

Did one of the local loops yesterday as needed to scrub the new tyres in on the Tuono. From home up to Hondon, Alguena, La Romana (hi Pirana), Novelda and back to home through Crevillente. All roads were weirdly completely deserted.
Tyres nicely scrubbed in now
No photos as I didn't want to stop

Scorchio ride to the stealers for the first service. 160 miles of A10, A414, A1, M25 and M4.
M25: the motorway that keeps on giving.
I have at least got my filtering mojo back, else I would still be on it.

I worked in, and commuted to London for 20 years, A120, M11, A406, The Highway, probably filtered for 10 to 15 miles of the journey in and out.
Since leaving the UK I have rarely had to filter on A roads or motorways (where you can use the hardshoulder when traffic is very slow) here. I don't really miss it, although it did hone my observation skills.

Rode to the office and back 75 m each way. Nothing remarkable apart from being in a mesh jacket and riding through 4 or 5: patches of rain
It felt bloody lovely!

Lots of old smokers at the castle meet last night. Sadly it also featured a stabbing incident between back patchers.
Anyway, the star of the show for me was an original, unrestored 69 H1,not even the engine has had work in 57 years.

Out on the big black GS, name the popular bikers gathering location?
Edit: it's a place without enough mobile coverage to actually upload a picture before it times out.

I heard good things about the Lemon Drizzle Cake served in the cafe of The National Herb Centre.
Off to Oxfordshire it was then to sample it for myself, it was good and so was the coffee but no pics sorry.
Then a trip around Warwickshire via Stratford-upon-Avon heading home.

I was out on 'Back Lanes Betty' again this afternoon

I rode down to one of my mates & we fitted a new chain & sprocket set to the bike.
He runs this immaculate XJR 1300

I'll update the projects section tomorrow

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
Couple of days late posting this. Friday evening mate with the mega mile 1290 says he's got all day Sunday to ride his bike and do I fancy a ride over to Clarkson's farm and pub. Enjoyed the series but not been bothered about going but figure it's a destination! Stuck medium twisty into the Sat Nav and it delivered in spades. Ride was pretty much amazing the whole way there, including some cracking places not far from me at all, so will be doing the first part again sometime soon.
Pub about 2/3rds of the way there on a coffee stop, I shudda taken the pic facing the lovely pub, rather than its car park

Clarkson's farm shop, queue was massive for the shop, but short for the burgers, so that's where we went.

Left there and another lovely ride to the pub which was busy but no real wait for a drink so all good.
Ride over was 3.5hrs ish and my mate lives near Colchester so twisty route wasn't on for the way back, so it was A40/Aylesbury/A41 and then home. 200 miles all in for me, 300 for matey.
All in a cracking day out. Those 20 limits for every village as soon as we hit the cotswolds though
what a pain in the arse. After the first few we crept over as no one was taking a blind bit of notice and we were in the middle of the boonies so must have been locals. Didn't see any cameras but kept me looking for speed traps. Still good practice for Wales in 3 weeks I guess.

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
Here's some from last nights bike night meet.
A single cylinder Raleigh & V Twin AJS,both hand change

Before last night I'd never seen or heard of this marque.
Malanca Nicko

Who needs a compressor? Air pump attatched to the downtube.I don't know why but it's a two stroke single with two silencers

According to the graphic on the tank, back in the day they were Italian champions & won a couple of GP's

Something more modern GPZ900,you don't see many of them these days.

That Malanca (never heard of them either) is quite a sweet looking little thing.
The plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'.
