It's the same with roadbikes,they're making so much horsepower that they're loaded with electronics so that riders can keep the things upright,no wonder people have such a positive view about the GSXR K5

I had K5 and they're not as good as any of the later models. On my 2018 jobby I've got all the electronics turned off. Even on track.

My 1996 Aprilia RS250 weighed 150kg wet, but produced 72 bhp.
Having had a Suzuki GT550 that would regularly dip below 20mpg, the RS at 26 (ish) mpg wasn't too bad.
The RS's are such great bikes

What work did it have, I thought they were well under 60 stock?

Shocked at how old that looks now. I think its the huge seat that dates it so much?

I don't think it's a super flattering photo either, the angle and the (I think) slightly wide angle lens (phone?) make it looks fatter than it really is.

I tell my wife the same thing about pictures of me.

The problem is it's too close to that CCM, the fugly field is overlapping onto the 916. It will recover when it is ridden away.
Notice the Norton maintained it's cool by keeping slightly further away

That looks AWESOME! I've ridden one (an SPS version ) and whilst it was weird to get on straight off a Blackbird, I'd love to own one!!

My RGV did 26mpg, worst was my MC-16 Honda, did sub 20. KR-1S was more miles per rebuild.

The very first 750wp had the blue anodising on the forks.
