Bikes these days have to meet certain standards, for that they need fuel injection, cats in the exhaust and ABS kit, it all adds weight.
That's KR1S wouldn't meet any of today's emissions standards as a new bike. Never mind adding ABS
I
It's the same with roadbikes, they're making so much horsepower that they're loaded with electronics so that riders can keep the things upright,no wonder people have such a positive view about the GSXR K5
I had K5 and they're not as good as any of the later models. On my 2018 jobby I've got all the electronics turned off. Even on track.

List of Suzuki models available new in Kenya...
https://www.suzukikenya.com/
That penultimate one is quite interesting, as the UK stopped getting them sometime in the 80's?
Weird that the 125 has a 13litre tank compared to a 7 for the 185

Forgot how small they are! Can believe the 130kg dry weight, it's tiny. Fucking mental though.
Yup, 140 odd kg wet, 55bhp, 140mph, smells amazing, noise like a pissed off wasp, what's not to like! Except the 25mpg when thrashed

My 1996 Aprilia RS250 weighed 150kg wet, but produced 72 bhp.
Having had a Suzuki GT550 that would regularly dip below 20mpg, the RS at 26 (ish) mpg wasn't too bad.
The RS's are such great bikes

Forgot to post these from Kop Hill Saturday.
Prefer the original wheels but wouldn't kick it out the garage
Shocked at how old that looks now. I think its the huge seat that dates it so much?
I don't think it's a super flattering photo either, the angle and the (I think) slightly wide angle lens (phone?) make it looks fatter than it really is.
I tell my wife the same thing about pictures of me.

The problem is it's too close to that CCM, the fugly field is overlapping onto the 916. It will recover when it is ridden away.
Notice the Norton maintained it's cool by keeping slightly further away

That looks AWESOME! I've ridden one (an SPS version

) and whilst it was weird to get on straight off a Blackbird, I'd love to own one!!

My RGV did 26mpg, worst was my MC-16 Honda, did sub 20. KR-1S was more miles per rebuild.

They don’t have pictures of anyone riding or sitting on their design masterpiece.

It just needs to be converted to electric power and it would be perfect!

Saw this today in local bike shop. Superb condition but lots of mods so might affect the value.
Most obvious was the top yoke. Did this model have USD forks?
What's the year? Late 80s?
Value?

Looks like it might have the swingarm from a watercooled 1100.
