It’s about 25kg lighter than stock with 50% more power, apparently.

They never look right with modern front ends on them, they're far too short and the front looks low, especially with a belly pan.

I wonder what cams he's running, even with the 1216 kit, getting a 50% power hike would need a lot of tuning.

That looks alright for the money. Tax and MOT exempt. I've no idea if Yamaha triples of that vintage are any good tho'?

They are heavy old things, the shaft drive probably adds to to that. I don't remember them as being particularly unreliable apart from early doors Yamaha gearboxes were a bit crap. Age won't have helped that. A pleasant enough bike to ride if you don't want fast or sporty.

I'm never sure whether I'm glad I dont have a large garage and lots of spare cash, or resentful, as I'd probably buy that. I'd also like a XS1100 to go with it!

If you look at the sellers other items, for an other Β£100, he's got a CB1000.

My mate had one and it went alright, the forks externally are actually the same as the RC30 (I imagine the internals are different)

I had the RF900 in 1996. That was good. The RF600 was shite.
