In an ideal world, one that most of us can't afford, then you'd drive both? I'm sure there's time you'd rather take the Tesla and times you'd rather take the Porsche, depends on the circumstances.
I'd drive the Porsche 100% of the time if I could, but I don't want to leave it on supermarket carparks, or even be out in it too much because my friend had a similar type of car and someone crashed into him and wrote it off, the offenders insurance keep trying to pay him out on the basis that it's an old car and even though he keeps presenting evidence of them going through auctions in America at around $750k the insurance still won't accept that as an indicator of value.
Some of my cars have book prices that are ridiculous compared to what they're actually selling for on the open market, so what do you do, enjoy it or keep it tucked up in the garage in case someone crashes into you and you get ripped off because that's just what the world is like these days.
I'd be very happy if the values all went down to something much more sensible, then those that want to can enjoy them and we wouldn't have to stress over them being expensive, but like most nice things they're expensive through supply and demand.
But back to the thread, I do like our Teslas, they're good to get from A to B very quietly and not being noticed.
I can't see a world anymore than doesn't have EVs in them, they won't eclipse ICE until the technology is ready but they do have a place.
