Even when it's the first snow of the year, a big stick is still a favourite toy

Back up to 3 dogs again. All 3 are ex-racers and all are 5-6 years old. Joy on the left (top picture) has been with us for 3 years, Rosie in the middle has been with us for a year and Laszlo has been with us for a month. All get on well, although there's the usual cross moment given none of them understand what personal space is.

They're very good on the lead (amazingly) but it's bedlam in the house when they all want to play.
Left to right... Laszlo, Rosie and Joy...

Every year we do a 'Grumble calendar' for the in-laws, who love him nearly as much as we do, so I took advantage of yesterday's autumn light to get some pics.
He looks like a right poser in this one, when he is in fact just bored of me

These stitches was just an eye lid tuck to allow and abscess on the eye cure. Reason being, she is back in next week to get the stitches out and a pre op check. Next again week she gets eye entropion operations on both eyes. Once she stops growing she also needs a hip operation as she has hip dysplasia. Not a bad start in life, the poor wee pooch.

So I’ve walked them, fed them, played with them and all they want is their Mum to come home from work.

Not a good day & it may get a lot worse. Black pup is at the vet undergoing barium treatment to find out exactly where the rock the dumb bastard swallowed is. If (as it appears) it's in his large intestine then he'll be getting colon blow to pass it. If it's in his small intestine, which would require surgery, then he won't be coming home.. Fuck.

Spoke with the vet around 4.30pm, rock has moved about 3inches since they gave him the barium stuff (which also managed to get past the rock). It's almost out.
We're picking him up at 6 & get to turd watch until Friday, if it hasn't passed by then he'll get the ovary snatcher up the exhaust to pull it out.
Vet: "He'll need to be under general for that procedure"
Me: So would I...
He'll be on a leash in the yard for ablutions until the dog pen shows up which will keep him from ingesting more rocks. He's also getting a muzzle (as will his equally stupid sister)
