Won't it have been pinched by then?

If I was closer I'd nip round and have a go, we've got an electric Yamaha scooter as the family pool 2-wheeled vehicle, although it's used exclusively now by my daughter going to work to scoot around traffic, or very occasionally me nipping to the shop when I need to pop into the nearest bigger village with a bank.

The problem with the electric scoot is that it's only any good on shorter journeys, she wanted to go to the nearest city the other day but that's too far on it and she doesn't drive cars, so she had to get her partner to take her, whereas something like this would be good for anything.
I just don't know if it's too big/too much.

I suspect it'd be too big. Whilst they cary their weight low, with the petrol tank under the seat and engine leaning forward, the are still nearly 500lbs. I reckon a scoot like an Xmax 250/400 would be better for her?

I think not having ridden for over 2 weeks, the AT and its characteristics are out of my mind, so this wasn't the cultue shock (read disappointment) I thought it was going to be. Sure, the grunt is missing but this did what i asked of it well enough, certainly well enough to do the job I got it for.

I was expecting to be cramped, as they lowered the seat height on this latest model, and some have fitted adjustable pegs to lower them. I'm glad I didn't buy the pegs as I never felt the cramped on the bike at all, surprisingly comfy if anything? But thats a 7 mile ride home and will see how I feel after 3 days and 180 miles of commuting into London next week. But if it does become uncomfortable, then of course i have the lowering pesgs option.

Two things I noticed straight away was the new twin disc set up and the remapped DCT. The brakes feel nice and progressive with a good feel at the lever. The DCT is superb. Imperceivable gear changes most of the time and theh've changed the shift points so D mode is actually worth using now and doesn't labour the hell out of the engine! A very noticeable improvement from Honda there.

This was never intended to be an exciting new bike purchase, this was just about downsizing to something that was easier to get on and off of and generally more manageable nand in the short ride home its proved itself to be exactly that and I even enjoyed it more than I expected or thought I would!

Fantastic service from Belle View M/cycles again. Old school dealers who are more Customer faced than internet based and make me feel their actually grateful for my custom, be it sales or servicing. They are ghetting me a price ona service plan which could save me a few quid down the line apparently, either way its their spanners that will be touching the bike and not mine. It makes more sense for them to look after it as bike comes with 2 year warranty as standard and if they service it that can be extended to 6 years! Oh and as its a brand spanker, it came with a years free road tax! Get in!
