Kitten's new servant sent me this last night
She really didn't want to come out of the fridge!!

Was sure there was better food in there than she was being given!!
And, her new name is Ayla (apparently easier to say for a French than Daisy!! LOL) - luckily I rarely actually used her name, so she'll learn Ayla really quickly!! LOL

Strange. The cats in my fridge are usually skinned and gutted. I admire your dedication to fresh meat.

Floyd*, photo taken during a bout of "The Zoomies" where he runs about like a mad thing for a minute or so.
*Wife reckons the black spot on his back looks like the moon, I pointed out that if it was it must be the side away from the sun, or the dark side of the moon. Hence the name Floyd.

I didn’t buy a new bike for the convenience of the cat.

That's what you think. The cat knows the truth.

We had booked the vet for Tuesday, thinking that the old boy was (quite literally) on his last legs...but he seems to have found a bit more lease of life so had a lovely day with him in the garden instead.
Days are very much numbered though. He's 14 and has been our first and very best dog.
Sadly, today was his last day.

Hugs to you guys. Pets are always missed so much more than expected and far more than non pet servants would think xxx

As our pup is a bit of a mix of four breeds its kind of a lottery as to what kind of size he'll be when fully grown.
Initially I added the average weights (and heights) of the males for each respective breed and divided that by four to get a rough idea.
That got me a figure of about 23 inches to the shoulder and about 34 (or so, I can't remember exactly now) kilos.
Well, it seems there's another way to do it and for large breeds you weigh them at 20 weeks old (last Sunday he was 14.4 Kilos) and divide that number by 20, then whatever you get you multiply by 52.
Seems thats a reasonable estimate of its full adult weight?
So, my prediction is for him to be just shy of 38 Kilos when fully grown but not fat.
Anyway, he's just over 18" to the shoulder now and I'd be interested to see if anyone else has tried that method or maybe its just simpler when you know what breed they are as the size range is more predictable.
The pic from Sunday cos he was standing side on and its rare to get him in that pose.
To be fair, it wouldn't bother me if he stayed the size he is now but I am interested in the growth process.
For a while he seemed to be converting about a seventh the weight of food into dog weight which I thought was pretty efficient but as its the first time I've even thought about it I don't suppose its any different from any other pup*.
*Well, better looking obviously.

I went to Lidl to buy the wife some wine.
Came home with wine and a cat hammock.
That's Eddie Van Hepworth, the cat that just turned up and decided to live with us.
