We bought a 'hotel quality' (whatever that means) padded mattress topper.
It means it's 'piss proof' as many hotel guests are incontinent.
Mmmm, perhaps this hotel I stayed at in Germany didn't get the memo?

I'm going to put about 5 litres of water in my mattress today to firm it up a bit. ;)

Well, the Simba Hybrid Luxe is a "Which Best Buy" and has a 200 night trial period, so one is winging its way to me for Monday. I will report back sometime later. ZZZzzzz...

Worst mattress experience i have had was on an 18-30's week in Newquay back in the late 90's, infact i remember it was 1999 as we had made some 'sperm suits' out of some painters overalls and had Millenimen written on the backs of them!

I had pulled a lovely young lady and was back on my own with her in the double bedroom. We had to stop as we noticed we we're both covered in blood! Turns out the mattress was so fucked it had the sharp ends of the springs sticking out the mattress and i had cut all my leg open on them and it was pissing blood out.

I got with her the next day and she wasn't that interested. Fucking stupid mattress!

Was an eventful year on the 18-30's camp that year. We managed to rip the door off the bathroom, break the bathroom window and also got into some beef with some Manchester lads who we're bullying some girls. Good times.

2nd night on the new Simba and I've overslept again. I guess that speaks volumes!

I "accidentally" went on an 18-30s holiday in '98. It was a cheap last minute thing and the missus and I didn't really clock it til we arrived (we were meant to be having a short relaxing break from our littluns).

I couldn't tell you what the mattresses were like, the hotel was so noisy with constant shouting, doors slamming, and little twats noisily shagging all night, that we spent most of the time asleep on the beach.

I done about 5 18-30's holidays.

Always messy, 3 of them were in Newquay too at the Sunnyside Campsite which is now all closed down and derelict.

I never forget going into Berties nightclub at the age of 17 - it was the first nightclub i ever went too and i think it's still going today, used to come out of there soaked with sweat as i would be on the dancefloor going mental till the early hours totally sober - good times.

I sent my Emma mattress back under their 200 day trial option. I no longer needed the size I had and it was such a fuss to get them to deliver it to me I had no qualms about taking the refund. They asked me to donate it to charity and I could still have the refund, so i did. It was much easier getting shot of it than it was getting it.

They wouldn't pay my traveling costs to return it in person. I took it to a homeless charity on the mainland and very grateful they were for it too. I frequently take them stuff I've pulled out a skip that's too good to landfill.

I possibly mentioned it before but their somewhat flippant and vacuous answer to my asking when I might receive what I'd paid for triggered my inner Fawlty. I don't want humour and soft soapy platitudes, I want my thing.
