I'm going to have to stop reading this thread, I just totted up my credit card competition costs since June and it's almost £300, I had no idea, I'd have said £100 max, but every time I open this thread I usually end up having a punt on something.
See yourself in there anyone?

It would be interesting to know what had been collectively spent on tickets from this forum but I don't want to start a 'worst gambling habit' witch hunt.

I'd probably take a punt on a few more but some bloke on here plus his family keep winning!

I reckon maybe £22 all in for me.
I am sorely tempted by that Guzzi though. I'm sure there's some aspect of it the purists hate, but bollox to the purists!

I'd be in four figures for sure. After my Son-in-law won, I did have a bit of a
flurry, but since winning a car I did scale the ticket buying right back. In some ways, bizarrely, I almost regret winning as I enjoyed playing and watching the live draws. Its a bit of fun innit.
If I started counting money i'd wasted, it'd be more what I've pissed up the wall, more than what i'd spent on comp tickets that would be the worry!

You earn your money, you spend it on things you like. I don't go to expensive restaurants, or take expensive holidays or have a wardrobe full of designer gear etc, as that isn't my thing. To each their own...

He's smart enough to do it with someone else's money.

That. I was once fiercely lectured by someone because I'd left the pub to go get a lottery ticket from the newsagents across the road. All the usual stuff came out - stupid tax, wasting money, more likely to find a unicorn and on and on, with added pointy finger!!
I had to point out that I was in the pub with a half a lemonade whilst pointy finger/lecturing person was stood there with a cigarette in one hand and a pint of stella in the other, not the first of either and not the last
In my view, as a non smoker and rare drinker, I figure that buying a lotto ticket once or twice a week was less of a waste than drinking and smoking in the pub two or three times a week!!

I've been telling Mrs. D that we can't put any more house crap in the garage 'cuase there's no space for working on Motorbikes anymore.
To really hammer home this point, I've just entered the draw for that Guzzi

I got a few tickets on this, as have a few other people I know. Debating as crunch times is here in a few minutes, cash or car? I'd previously said car and may have taken it if it was april or may and the summer ahead of us, but with winter approaching, I think I'll take the cash if Lady Luck sits on my lap tonight!

Cash, all day and every day. Hire a Ferrari if you really want a go in one
The fact they can afford to give you £125k instead shows what a terrible ownership prospect it is.
