Automatic flush sit down toilets
If I wanted my ball sack sprayed with cold water, I'd have gone swimming at V8s place

I believe there are some establishments which charge a lot of money for that form of entertainment.Sadlonelygit wrote: Fri May 10, 2024 2:57 pm Automatic flush sit down toilets

Re: Insignificant/ Significant things that BYP or just wind you up a little
I ordered my mate a bottle of Amaro online from Gerry's in Soho. Bloody lazy as I could have ridden over in my lunch, but there you go. Never received a confirmation email although I was debited on my Paypal account. By Wednesday it hasn't come, so I ring them to confirm all's good. They confirm the order has gone out via UPS. I get home yesterday and there's a slip shoved in the post box, telling me that after three attempts to deliver, they're giving up. Fuckers. That's the first slip I've received saying they've tried to deliver it.
Anyway, I ring Gerry's, who are very old school, and they ask me if I want a refund etc. I explain that my mate is a London cabbie, so when it's back in, let me know and I'll tell him to drop in and pick something up for me. Little will he know it's his own birthday present he's picking up. Bloke laughed at my cunning plan.
If you're in Soho, it's always good for an obscure bottle of your favourite tipple.

No-alcohol and Lo-alcohol infusions are quite the thing these days. Apparently.
But not in this fucking house.

I've tried one or two - but without the alcohol in the mix they taste utterly revolting.gremlin wrote: Fri May 10, 2024 4:18 pm No-alcohol and Lo-alcohol infusions are quite the thing these days. Apparently.![]()

Maybe you'd get used to it?? (after all - we get used to the flavour of alcohol...)

Agreed. Give me a poncy tonic with ice and several pieces of random fruitage and I'm happy with that.Rockburner wrote: Fri May 10, 2024 4:21 pmI've tried one or two - but without the alcohol in the mix they taste utterly revolting.gremlin wrote: Fri May 10, 2024 4:18 pm No-alcohol and Lo-alcohol infusions are quite the thing these days. Alcohol free beers are the pits, but I've sussed that 0% Peroni + full fat Peroni mixed together is pretty good, and only half the alcohol. No good if you're driving, obvs, but if you need to be a bit sensible because it's a school night, it's a winner.

Alcohol free gin = cordial, surely.
Nothing against cordial, but call it what it is

Dunno about "Insignificant" as I rate it fairly high but might not bother some people as much...
People coming out of a pub with bottles, glassware and drinking up then placing the glass item down.
Leave it a bit and someone/the wind is bound to knock it over and it'll end up smashed and possibly in kids/my dogs feet.
Just think eh?
Oh and people just throwing chicken bones down on the pavement, dogs right in on them and I'm worried about them stabbing his internals.
Suppose all that xomes under the heading of littering which I'm no fan of either but those get to me more than others.

If you don't take your glasses back to the bar, or your plates back to the serving window in a greasy spoon cafe then you're a lout.demographic wrote: Fri May 10, 2024 5:17 pm Dunno about "Insignificant" as I rate it fairly high but might not bother some people as much...

It's acid test of whether someone understands society. Do they take the trolly back in the supermarket?
- It doesn't directly benefit you, only other people
- It costs you time and effort
- There's no penalty if you don't do it
But...you benefit from everyone else doing it.

Staff are paid to clear tables. And you shouldn't grovel to get good service.
Help if you want, but don't judge others.
