We all feel your pain I think, we could all do with dropping some.
I'm 14st 0 now which none who have met me have ever seen me at, but in a cycling context I'm still a massive unit. Ideally I need to be sub 13
Been cycling on some basic trainers for 30 minutes a day but chaffing

has stopped that this week, so it was back to a 30 minute run this morning! Seems I use more energy running than cycling, so clearly I’m a bit lazy on the bicycle......
As for losing weight not sure why it’s creeping on but I’m guessing it’s my age. I barely eat anything, don’t drink alcohol but it makes no difference.

Varnished the garden bench and bay window supports, followed by the purchase of 3 bags of compost for a tenner and some seeds. Tomatoes, peppers and chillies. Cosmic.
Interested to know where you got your compost? Did you get it online or local? Seems it’s not a ‘necessity’ and so I’m having a little trouble sourcing some?
Our village garden centre doing click and collect. I phoned them up, paid on card, drove up and they put them in car for you. All safe and secure with no lightning strikes.
Compost is essential for growing tomatoes.

Great thanks! I’ll see if our local smaller ones are doing anything similar. Looked at Wickes and Homebase but they were ‘not available to order’. I agree I need some for my runner beans!

Strange day. Woke up for my 0600 checkin with lads on duty, stayed up for the 0730 phone conference. Did some work but ran out of things to do, and enthusiasm to do it.
Drove to town to click n collect from Tesco.
Then drove across to visit my Dads grave as it’s 19 years ago today.
Got the ok from my landlord to build some decking at the top of the garden so I can sit in the sun.
Sent both my sisters a photo of the grave as neither of them has ever been there!!!
Mick.

39 years married today.
Obviously any celebrations/restaurant etc are on hold,so like lots of other folk 'twas a pretty ordinary day in lockdownsville.
I did use my Lansky to sit in the afternoon sun and sharpen a load of kitchen knives,in the spirit of things yanno.

Congratulations even if you couldn't celebrate it fully

Managed to source some locally. So a big thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Well, cleaned down in and outside of not used very much greenhouse, spiders didn't know what day it was. Put compost in seed tray things, then put one seed in each bit and sprinkle over with a bit more compost. Gently water and job done.
Helped my lad put his newly delivered hybrid bike together, very nice it is. De-stapled cardboard box ready for bin men, give them no excuses.
So, looking forward to some home grown salad stuff later next week.

Having cleared out and tidied the garage, I found that I had loads of left over wood from removing the massive old work bench.
Decided I might need some extra bench space so I bought myself a sliding mitre saw and have set about building a foldable work bench. Got most of it made up so next phase is to install it,and for that I need a trip to B& Q ..

I sold my SH300 today.
End of a 10 years era! I'd recommend one to anyone looking an 'always ready to use' machine.

Got up at 5am after not much sleep. Sorted some "Alfresco" issues for a user and now thinking about coffee number two.

Today has been interesting. I was able to get into the Wickes website straight off, so could order two lengths of 70 x 45 x 3000 treated C16 timber for the deck joists. Spent today getting up the old rotten deck boards and then cutting the new bits to length. Taken a while as I only have a little Bosch screwdriver, but it is doing marvelously well. I've now got the deck lengths sorted and just need to collect the timber (Monday now) and then I can cut that to length and sort out the decking. I'll be giving it a bit more support in the end zones, but also making sure that the draining level is okay.
Considering we are selling the place in July, I'm not too worried about it being perfect, but I do like to do a decent job and make sure that is looks good and is safe. All I need to do now is seal it with the stuff I have in the shed once the weather clears in the next two weeks. Tuesday to Thursday looks like rain...
Been a tiring day, but I feel I've achieved something and the weather was really nice. Right now my daughter is making an icecream shake and she will give some to me! Yay! Then wife and I will have dinner at some point and finish of the 2012 bottle of Spanish red we opened last night. Rather nice it was.

Been on nights. Very strange driving on an empty motorway, stopping in a live lane to remove a tyre, then continuing on without another vehicle passing me!!!
Home, washing is on as I’ve got an Asda order to collect in a bit, sleep has to wait so I changed the bed instead!!
Been stood in the garden with a cuppa listening to the birds, lambs, cows. Love living in the country, finally got what I wanted!!
Mick.
