Finally got fed up with the poor returns and cashed mine in last month, they'll do much better in Marcus. In my experience they aren't what they were a couple of years ago, with yet another month of no winnings I ditched them ...

Is that something us non-high net with individuals can get?

Hell, yeah. Used to be Nutmeg before they rebranded it.
That particular pot only had £750 lobbed in it a couple of years back in order to get £50 of JL vouchers. I also have a little holiday spending pot with them too. Only £1,625 lobbed in over a few months, mainly to make sure I had some money and didn't spend it all rather than saving it, but it's made c. £75 and that £75 is better in my pocket than somebody else's.
Got a historic pension in there too, c. 14% in a year, so happy days.

Nothing again, bloody waste of time. I'm going to have to look at putting my money elsewhere I guess.

I'm looking forward to tomoggas, not because I hope to win. The wife has agreed to pull £20k out after the Jan draw to pay off the mortgage.

Thanks.
My theory was blown out of the water last year. I put a slab in PBs on my wife's behalf, telling her that I thought they rigged it so you got a win early on to lull you into thinking 'what a brilliant thing PBs are'. 3 months in, not so much as a a brass farthing. I think she's questioning my financial acumen.
(Then I pointed out how much the funds I selected in her SIPP have gone up.

....
....more than the funds in mine.

I have my January off to a £100 start, probably be the only win of the year
I may take the PB money I have and put it in an ISA mid way through the year anyway if they're not really doing anything.

2.85%, tax free, zero risk?
Not as good as a cash ISA, but, if you've used your ISA allowance for the year, it's not
that shabby.

Depends if you fall into the higher rate income tax bracket, many people do these days. If you don't then move it somewhere with a better return.

Well, if you have the appetite for risk you could put the 50k into WPP shares (11.05% dividend)

but, personally, given retirement is as much about risk management, protecting your stash in a Smaug like fashion and being tax-effective as it is about dividend chasing, I don't think I will*.
(Not to mention the (small) possibility that you might win big with PBs

).
* I have got some Legal & General shares though (9%)

.
