I didn't watch the show (I don't watch that kinda tv) but from the clips I've seen I didn't view it as overtly racist, I did think it ill judged & offensive for what is basically a childrens tv show, it was hardly Prokofievs Romeo & Juliet, more a re-enactment of a real murder of a human being. That, the one arm salutes/kneeling and the portrayal of the victim as an angel (yet again) before the US Court Jury hear & judge the whole legal case made it biased propaganda imo, not what you expect nor want to see a skewed political broadcast when you sit down with the kids to watch some family tv.

For years it was save the whale. No one said 'what about all the other fish?'. Then Save the Amazon, No one said what about all the other rainforests?...

Based on average viewing figures for this show, 0.26% of those watching complained. People complain about TV and radio broadcasts all the time for a multitude of reasons, I'm not entirely sure what point is being made here

Because in the final analysis there are people who hold diametrically opposing views on everything there's always going to be argument. Enforcing rules of civility is one thing, but suppressing argument is by definition censorship. The fact is that just about anything can be interpreted by someone somewhere as offensive, so trying to prevent anyone being offended means that no opposing views can ever be argued.

Who decides what is sensitive? Personally, I don't believe anything is intrinsically sensitive, but as said in my post people can take offense at anything.

It is different. Folk asked more than once in the last place that politics had its own sub forum and meh was the answer. You provided the sub forum what is good and just leave them to get on with it. Cant say i am that bothered about them arguing as its not getting bounced in your fave like GM was. I will, to an extent but you have to remember, this forum does not belong to 5 people, 20 people, it doesn't even belong to me, it belongs to everyone, it belongs to people who are yet to visit, yet to be aware of its existence. I know some people see if like you, they can post what they like, but no, they really can't

I'm trying to build a forum, a community, a spirit, I'm trying to bring back discussion forums lost to Twitter, Facebook and every other ranty jump up and down froth at the mouth form of social media.

I know that's a bit deep, but that's how it is.

Please note I said "not actively moderated all the time" that doesn't mean people have free reign to just post without consequences
