Saw that in MCN the other week, but they didn't have decent pics of it. I like that a lot, looks proper 90s

Lovely paint job, but won't be much quicker than a DT125R

My 450 Himalayan certainly is. Are you thinking of the 411?
I think the standard 450 Himalayan would be great with a wider 17 inch wheel on the front. Unfortunately, due to legislation making modifications both expensive and practically impossible to carry out in Spain, its something I will have to wonder about.
When is the new DRZ on the market?

It's already being delivered to US customers, it's on the Suzuki Spain website at €9699!! The KTM 390 Enduro R which looks like a rival to the Suzuki is €6399.

My DTR was the fully derestricted one with the YPVS gubbins all fitted, it would get up to an indicated 90 but the mudguard started going all bendy and it got, well, interesting! Those were practically a YZ with lights.
I think the new DRZ has been launched, but it's heavier and slower and ridiculous money.
Are you not allowed to modify stuff? My GS runs on 17 inchers off an RT most of the time.

Yes, but also no. You can't just stick an end can on yourself, has to have an approved fitter do it, and with an approved endcan. All of this can be checked if stopped by police as you have to carry your bikes documents with you.
My car failed it's ITV (MOT) because the local tyre place put a set of tyres on it that werd a different weight rating that is on the manafacturers build sheet.

Thanks, just had a look. €9699 for the DRZ SM too. (the Himalayan is €6,487)
Couldn"t you buy the original DRZ from Suzuki in the UK with both sets of wheels? I'm sure that would not be possible over here.
Edit: Think I confused the DRZ with the CCM 604 Dual Sport, as Google says the DRZ didn't, but the CCM did
