Oulton was a bit too soon for me so booked cadwell for £85. Hotel in Tetford for £50. Bargain.

Last one before winter, get it done. 👍

Well, I've decided to treat myself to a 2nd night, I'd of had to cut pm session short if to get home before dark. Google maps says cadwell to home is between 3 and 3.5 hrs away depending on time and I reckons it would of been a shit time.

So 2nd night in Scunthorpe, out of my way really but I was born in house in a village of Adlingfleet, near Goole, so I'm going to find my house of birth. 👶 Bring back memories of old. Born November 66 and think we moved from there in 72. I do remember showing my mum i could ride without stabilisers, moments before falling off and splitting my head open. 😂👍

Rooms nice enough, maybe some ladies might have concerns but for me, all good. They do food thank god, fuckall else here.

Looks like the weather gods are with you, although as we know, you can never tell at Cadwell, whatever they say :D - Anyway, hope you have a great day Paul

Another dull day and pretty cold early on. Didn't sleep great, never do first night away.

Got me a little Halford £15 tent for circuit base camp. The mighty MT is holding it's own. 🙂👍

A great day had at Cadwell, few reds in our group early on, but seemed to settle down once everyone got a bollocking about cold tyres. Missed last session, packed up and headed for Scunthorpe, about 50 minutes up the road.

Chilling in room with a cuppa then off next door for food n booze. No rush in the morning so I think a full English will start the day nicely. 🙂👍

A slower morning today and into the Beefeater about 9 ish for the 10.99 fill your boots breakfast. Trouble is, that time in the morning i ain't wanting much, just one plate and one coffee, still nice though.

Nostalgia time came and up to Adlingfleet, just south of the Humber. Lovely part of the world imo, very flat, plenty of open fields, just as i remembered it. Found my old house of birth and pulled up just passed. A chap parked up and I asked him if anyone of old was still living here, Jacksons the farmer and was pointing to their house.

Knock knock and a lady came to the door, I explained I was born here and that was it. My old next door neighbours, the Binses are her cousins. Fiona who I remember died in her early 50s, she being the girl next door. Chatted for about 30 mins and said farewell.

For some reason it was quite emotional, talking about our first school in Ousefleet and the village shop that is no longer. I'm so chuffed I went and found someone to share some memories, we're talking 50 odd years ago.

Todays pics.
