Any Bike Changes for 2026?

Either new,a change,or adding to the herd?

I've been toying with a few ideas.

1. A 1972/73 Kawa H2 triple.

2. A 1969 H1

2. Trading the Z1000R for something. (less likely)

3. My old BMW R90S is still for sale. (so far I've never gone back to any model I used to own)

Mostly idle,Winter months musings, but ya never know where it all leads....

Will be buying a new GasGas EC300.
This one will be 4 years old.

The new one is a bit bland but there's a GP limited edition
.

New bike or maybe 2.

Both will have pedals. One or more may have motors

Neither will be petrol

You can get aftermarket billet controls for the Gold Star now, to replace the non-matching standard levers. I might change those.

If I can work some sort of financial miracle, there's sn R100GS I have my eye on. Failing that, It's ride the oilheads and the K until they expire.

In them days I think they needed pedals to be classed as a moped, is that not the case these days. šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

I've finally been forced into the realisation that if I want any new bikes, I will have to sell existing ones first. So the VFR and the black Falco (when I can get the indicators working) will be going and at some point in the future, so will the Ducati.

This flies in the face of the last 40+ years of motorcycle ownership, which has all been about acquiring...

I look at Dobles website now and again to see what they have second hand but its unlikely
I’m due a refund on something from my last house so if I get that then I want to buy a new shock for the CBR.

Nope, only just got my xadv so will either be sticking with that or deciding that I no longer have a bike in the garage!

No plans, and really I need to spend money on a new garage roof and cars for both me and my wife.

Maybe a new bike will rekindle my enthusiasm. I think I've done less that 200 miles on a bike this year, I used to do that on a Sunday morning.

I can't think of a bike that I really want more than the one I have though

I've decided I'm not getting any new bikes unless I ofload 1 or 2 of the current fleet.
My 1985 XT600 qualifies for tax & MOT exemption 1/4/2026 on the 40 yer rule so the plan is to get it back on the road 1/4/2026.It's been on a SORN since 2017 so it'll feel like a new bike to me.
My FZ750 qualifies for tax & MOT exemption 1/4/2027 so that's the next project.
One of my mates has a 650 Transalp so I'll try & do a swap with one of my SV650's for a day out, another mate has promised me a go on his 250LC & I've never rode a Harley & a mate's just bought one so I've also got a ride on that lined up.
TBH I've no interest in all the electronics & ride by wire on the latest stuff so nothing new appeals
