I use LOMO dry bags,never heard a bad word about them

Lomo are good, just thought I'd try one of these.

For the price they look pretty decent

I've used Ortlieb bags inc. one of their messenger bags in some testing conditions.

(Popular with canoeists/kayakers so pretty watertight ).

I had to buy heating oil on Monday,so I've no money left for a dry bag.

Just need to make sure it's made of the thicker pvc type stuff. I bought one years ago and it was thin stuff like a tent. With straps I didn't trust it.

Ortlieb kit is outstanding, the rucksack you gave me is still going strong and showing no signs of wear despite being used to commute three times a week.

As for dry bags, missus uses this from Pyramid Motorcycle Accessories:

Not as robust as an Ortlieb of similar size but then it doesn't weigh as much. Has been fully waterproof. The benefit is how it secures to the bike, no need for bungees, once cinched down it's solid. Only gripes are the length of the tie down straps and the lack of a shoulder strap for use when not on the bike.

Bag just delivered. Thick pvc type stuff. Decent enough for 10 pound odd.

This has got me thinking. Somewhere I have one of these expedition type Ortlieb bags -
Although I gave a few away it did contain a load of different size and types of Ortlieb dry bags - some that I used for biking and others for tents and stuff. I'll have to root it out and see what's still in it. Some of it might be useful if there are any riders out there that still risk getting wet.

Have you checked Taipan's loft and shed?

Got an old Oretlieb dry bag, another compression stuff sack by them and a North Face bag from before North Face went a bit Charva.
Think they still do some decent gear but theres a load of expensive tat as well.
