2017-20 vs 2021on KTM 1290 Super Adventure

Anyone owned both and got an objective opinion of how much better the 21on bike is over the 17-20 model? KTM state that the new bike is 90% different than the old one, and I just can't see it myself. I've test ridden the new one briefly, I wasn't blown away by it, but then I wasn't blown away by my old Superduke GT either on the test ride, it was a slow burner for me but I grew to love it fairly quickly.
Basically is it £4k better (buying outright rather than PCP)? A friend is selling his 20 bike with only 5k miles, accessories, luggage etc. for around £10,750. I can get a 22 plate ex demonstrator with tech pack but no luggage for around £14,299, but I need at least a top box too... My quick test ride it didn't feel especially different other than the engine was smoother lower down (not a deal breaker for me anyway, I'm used to the older 1290 lump anyway), and though I was impressed by the radar cruise control, it's something I could easily live without.
Had been tempted just to PCP a brand spanker for £200 a month and use the cash elsewhere, but my head is starting to win out over my heart, and if I need the cash in the meantime for home improvements etc. I can just get a 0% credit card to deal with that in the meantime...
So... Anyone got some real world experience of both, I'm dying to hear from you!
