An acquaintance has 2* King Charles Spaniels and appears to walk one in a doggy pushchair. It's getting a bit old and cronky but likes to go out so she wheels it out of the village, lets it run/hobble about a bit in the woods with its chum then wheels it back.

* it was 3 but a neighbour's rescue greyhound killed the puppy when they were out walking one day. :(

A lot of dogs get hip and joint problems, but still want to go out, mind willing body weak sort of thing, so dog pushchairs are a way of doing that, especially where you have more than one dog in the house and you dont want to leave one behind. My Sisters Westie could barely walk round the house as he had arthritis in a lot of his joints, but would sit at the door whining to go on his walk. She got a dog pushchair and pushed him on his usual walk and he loved it. She'd stop at certain point and let him have a sniff and a wee etc. So pushchairs in those circumstances area good thing, but having one as some sort of parental fashion thing or putting a dog in a handbag is just stupid. :wtf:

Pets do nothing much for me but I try not to be too judgemental. God knows I "waste money" on bikes and guitars for starters.

Was it Herriwullie's dog that used to ride about on the back of his off-roader?

In a champagne crate IIRC. :D

Oddly - he was the perfect speedo if you were following - you could measure the exact speed by the amount of dog you could see above the edge of the box! :D

This is the absolute Norm in Hong Kong & China.

They take their fashion statement dogs everywhere in their prams. Even better is when their dogs take a crap and they get the tissue out to wipe the arse

IIRC it used to ride in a tank bag and wear a pair of doggles. :)

The pupster here has a chariot that gets used when we go places. He treats it as *home* & will sit or lay peacefully when at a crowded bar or on the patio at a restaurant etc instead of trying to befriend every person he sees. Lots of stores here are dog-friendly & he loves riding in the shopping cart at Lowes.
As for dogs on bikes, in the UK I had a GSD mix that would ride on the gastank of my '76 Z900, she loved it.

Dogs in push chairs is a common sight on WSM seafront...but you can't live round here unless you are ancient.

But if there is a doggy in a bar/restaurant you have to say hello to the doggy. Owner to ask if it is ok to pet them.

In a cafe, some one lab puppy slowly escape from his owner to lick the croisant flakes off my plate when I went to get a coffee top up. How could anyone be upset by that? I had a new bestest friend to give fuss to while his owner was busy gassing to her friend about someone having an affair. While the doggy hoped for more food.

Also never met a bad lab nor spaniel.

I've been seeing these type of things around town more and more recently.

All for it if it gets animals that aren't that mobile in the fresh air. Less keen when it's some dibbuck who's left his dog in it's pram with the handbrake on pretty much blocking the entrance to the supermarket, like this afternoon...

Me and my best mate on his favourite beach for the last time, we wobbled all over Dartmoor with him in his buggy as well. Top bit of kit (Innopet from K9 Wagons in Tavistock, who did a try before you buy so top marks to them).

At least if the dog is in a pram or bag the owner takes the dog shit home with them.

There is a reason (greyhound/lurcher?) is in the buggy.

Not cos you have a fashion dog that lives in a handbag.

You take it out of the buggy/hand bag to shite and leave it where someone can tread on it. Maximum cuddly wuddly beary boo.
