Can I automatically run an image slideshow on startup on a windows PC

Hi All,
I'm supplying some images for an exhibition and the want to run them as a slideshow all day. Apparently they're going to put them in to a powerpoint and someone will have the daily job of setting it running. Seems a bit long winded. IS there a way I can drop a slideshow into the PCs start up folder or suchlike?

Choose it as the screensaver or background.

First decide which application you want to show them in. Find out whether there is a command line option for that program which will run a continuous slide show when the application starts or alternatively use the application preferences to start by default. Third party slideshow programs are probably better than any built in windows app such as "photos".

There are several ways to start a program automatically on boot or log in and the easiest one is probably to put a shortcut in
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\start-up
or
(current user)
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Start-up
Its easiest to create a dedicated folder and point the application at that so that images can easily be added or removed.

Bang on. That's where I dropped my outllook shortcut into as our IT dept left it out. Many thanks.
