Re: Pension stuff, how's it all looking ? HAve you prepared ?

Talking to a chap today who is just 66, his wife is younger. He's got a few bob, let's property's etc. Started drawing his state pension recently. His financial advisor has found a way to get him nearly 17k a year. Chap says it's some sort of bonus, wasn't too sure himself he says.

Doesn't ...

Indeed, but like dodgy on his monkey, I'd probably find scoot perfect for such a bimble!

Re: NBT- I'm going racing 😳

Well, I’m writing this report a good bit later than I said I would, but April was a busy month, as was May TBH and pretty much non-stop , but we’ve been busy enjoying ourselves, which is what retired life is all about IMO

So , since my last update, we’ve had the Cadwell round on the ...

maybe like with @Dodgy69 that will come when you have more time and freedom. Once you have nothing you HAVE to do, maybe a trip to the coast on a motorbike will be an excellent little treat.

We must remember, no one makes them do it. Simple as that.

It really is, albeit I guess the point Weeksy is trying to make that it is now socially unacceptable to allow sane right-minded individuals to place themselves at that much risk purely in the pursuit of a personal sporting achievement ...

Re: My new red two-up touring bike

It’s been a while since I’ve updated this (or any other, come to that) thread, and we’ve just got back from a week and 1200 mile bimble around some of France, taking in Honfleur, La Rochelle and Rouen, and very enjoyable it was too, despite the somewhat variable weather.
The waterproofs came out on ...

Yesterday with a couple of the Jolly Boys- really fun day out on the lanes of West Sussex and Hampshire, was a warm one and definitely more dusty than muddy, a fair bit faster than usual and I'm feeling it a bit today, cracking fun 😎 👍

I don't want to put a downer on things, but listening to Jamie Witham's podcast the other day he said that Darley Moor & other former airfields are now classed as brownfield sites & planning permission is going in to turn Darley Moor into a housing estate

Definitely no downer from me ...

Re: NBT- I'm going racing 😳

Last weekend I took a trip up to Derbyshire and a track that I have heard lots about for many years, but never actually visited- Darley Moor.

As I mentioned above, at Brands I was chatting to some of the vastly more experienced racers than me about it , and the common themes seemed to be that it’s ...

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?

Yesterday at Darley Moor.

First time there for me- a funny, scruffy little place that I felt had a very "Northern" sort of vibe about it, both in the way it was run and the people there, but I loved the track, despite the (WWII prison camp standard :D ) facilities, and quite worryingly close ...

ZX Moto have arrived in WSS.

Yup, that's really some achievement - based on that performance, I'll be very interested to see how their V4 performs in WSB ( and who they get on it/them? ) next season, but in the meantime, the SSP ...
