I thought this looked quite smart for the money, sue me.
Then I saw the mileage!
It could be Triggers Broom for all I know, but that's got to be a good recommendation for HD build quality, right?

It's all old crude tech, looks like it's been well looked after and it won't have been thrashed. It's not tremendously big miles, some of the yank Pan Euro boys have the guts of 200k on their bikes.KungFooBob wrote: Mon Jul 13, 2020 8:41 pm https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2009-Harley- ... Swxbhe3j1g

Yup, for a big Euro trip next year, can't decide if I should buy something cheap and disposable or trade the wifes bike she never uses in for a newer mile muncher.

Last Euro trip I did, My mate didn't want to take his Superlight so bought an old R1100S BMW complete with "executive" panniers. He Paid £2200, toured it and used it through summer then sold it for £2000. Seems like good VFM to me!KungFooBob wrote: Wed Jul 15, 2020 10:37 am Yup, for a big Euro trip next year, can't decide if I should buy something cheap and disposable or trade the wifes bike she never uses in for a newer mile muncher.
I've always had a secret hankering to try an R1200RT for a big commute or Euro tour but the K1200 / K1300s seem to be realy cheap for the performance difference to the old Twin. Mind you, you're looking at 2up riding so I suppose the RT would be ideal

I'm sure there's plenty of people who'd like it... I hope I don't know any of them.

I looked at this ad a few days back, it was a mega cheap Bros because the fella couldn't get it to run right.
Seems that the Ebay/Bros community talked him through how to fix it and now it's not for sale!
So there is human kindness, even on t'bay!
