New Motor Idea's

Post by Bobble »

It's new car time,

Got a budget of upto £7500 and looking for something smallish nippy and fun, fave at the mo is a Seat Ibiza 1.4 ACT FR 140bhp but just wondered if there are any other suggestions in and around that price bracket.

Many Thanks

£7,500 will easily buy you a sub 70k mile Porsche Boxster S 3.2
Lots of fun, 250bhp and you won't lose any money on it.

SRADs have gone up in price, I'm trying to remember how much I paid for a P reg one in 2001, about £2K I think, lovely bike, traded it in for a GSXR750K2 that handled better, but the injection wasn't as good as the SRAD's carbs.

I know diddly about most cars, but my daughter has one of these and on quiet back roads it's like a go-cart!

I borrowed it recently, but I didn't know her dash cam was running and she was not so pleased with the recorded footage. Oops..caught on.

Yeah, I had one until fairly recently. Wasn't just the best FWD-handling car I've had, but definitely one of the best full stop. You're not going to be able to go much quicker on a twisty road in anything really. A little cheapy inside, pretty firm ride and image obviously not that mature, but otherwise a great car, especially given the running costs.

Do you mean the STs?

Most are, but depends what's too high for you. There's one with 40k and several in the 50s for £7500 or less.
