Eek! No seat belt + roll often = being ejected. That really would have ruined his day.

Wife just back from baby sitting them both overnight.Horse wrote: Sun Jan 02, 2022 8:59 pm Eek! No seat belt + roll often = being ejected. That really would have ruined his day.
Yes he got semi ejected, ended up on passenger side with his head out of side window and his arm trapped between roof and ground, but other than a deep glass infested cut to his forehead and a swollen hand he's fine.
Well I say fine, the MRI scan found another unrelated problem that needs pretty urgent attention.

Lunchtime haircut at The Bomb. It's always an entertaining experience.
Edit. And another.

Recovering in private room at the hozzy. It was a tricky one as finger had 2 breaks. 25mm plate and 5 screws.
They just numbed my arm and did the deed. 3 hours later I can sort of lift it but no control. A dead weight .
Keeping me in overnight to monitor the pain.
And bloody hungry but can't eat until they say so.

I'm currently freezing my spuds off! The tiler is in and out cutting tiles so the back door is open most of the time. It feels like a northern summer in here!

GWS matey!
And isn't this the point where, traditionally, you would be demanding that others provide pics of the nurses?

Left arm still completely numb. But managed to lift it in the air a bit. Just high enough for the lower arm to drop onto my head. Ouch. That pot hurt.
No control below elbow.

Oh you've had a nerve block, I had three in the space of a week, not wanting too worry you but each time the block wore off my hand felt like it was being mercilessliy squeezed in a vice, even morphine wouldn't touch it.Yorick wrote: Wed Jan 05, 2022 1:59 pm Recovering in private room at the hozzy. Re: A right now thread
Right now its bloody cold and seriously snowing
About sodding time! we've had spring temperatures for the last few weeks and that is so not good up here!!
Proper winter temperatures and some decent looking snow
Setting alarm for a bit early to see if the snow has stopped when it goes off - if it has I'll go walk up the mountain a bit. If it hasn't I'll go back to bed

Just finished drilling 16 holes in a lintel. I was dreading it but it's the first time I've used an SDS drill and I was very pleasantly surprised how quick it was, quiet too compared with a hammer drill.
