Vangelis.
Who, even if he'd done nothing else, gets a for the Blade Runner soundtrack.
Probably one of the best soundtracks of all time.
Yup. It was a long time before it came available on CD but it was worth waiting for. With the other dialogue clips worked in it's almost like seeing the film, but in your head.
I quite liked his work with Jon Anderson (he was actually invited to replace Wakeman in Yes).
( I think it's best to quietly pass over his time with Aphrodite's Child though ).
“I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

Whaaat?! Classic Greek prog rock! 666 is a great* album
*Some conditions apply
Thanks to the wonder of Spotify's 'if you liked that you may like this' algorithm I landed on Aphrodite's Child*...it may well have been 666...and listened with a kind of childlike awe...Vangelis+Demis Roussos! Then I listened to it all again.
* Quite how it got there from Killing Joke is anyones guess!!

I admit that I haven't listened to the whole album through for a while, but I do genuinely stick The Four Horsemen on quite regularly

Ray Liotta! Just heard now on the radio.
Didn't even break 70. Lots of people will know him from Goodfellas and Hannibal but I think I first saw him in Something Wild and he was just plain scary! (Melanie Griffith was quite memorable too ).
