Talking pink hair. The wife also has it pink but she re did it a couple of days ago so slightly darker than in the picture. Mate came round yesterday with his grandson who did not like the colour to the point he was scared and wanted to go Poor wee sod. Mates partner used to be pink also but due to the kid she is more blues and purples now.

Awww! I don't think my pink has ever scared kids, some adults, but not kids!! LOL

My wife has half pink and half blue hair, previously she's had all blue or all bright red (i.e. obviously fake, not ginger )

It doesn't seem odd at all to me any more, I think that sort of thing is fairly mainstream these days. Certainly is 'round here, I've seen a GP with blue hair and had my blood taken by a nurse with pink hair.

I have had a go at mixing pink and purple, but I struggle a bit with lack of arm ability, so need to find someone to help me

Weirdly, few of my friends are into mad hair colours! And whilst pretty mainstream in the UK, it really isn't here! Especially when mine is nuclear! LOL They seem more relaxed when it's baby pink (like now) but full on PINK and the adults kind of take two steps back

But I love it. I've just cut the back really short (way too hot where I am currently!) and it is mostly natural now Hasn't been natural in about 6/7 years !!! So, hopefully tomorrow all the stuff will work and it'll be seriously pink again

Another day of racing Mermaids (they're a type of boat!) at Seaview Yacht Club on the Isle of Wight.

It's a corporate day out that my company did for 17 years and I've been a guest of (and was on this occasion) at least another dozen times but it never fails to deliver. Great mix of guests - some old stagers like me, some virgins to boat racing (and sailing in a few instances!) - stunning venue, fantastic hospitality from the club, ridiculously close racing (I was tied second but demoted to third on countback - racing rules and fair enough) and some new relationships started!

It's an invite I never take for granted, always welcome, will move heaven and earth to ensure I can attend and makes me - to quote the title of this thread - happy!!

A lot of the stuff we drink never really gets out of the region - the French (not being stupid) keep the good stuff for themselves. But there are a number of excellent wine regions near us. St. Chinian and Faugères are right on our doorstep, Minervois, Corbières and Fitou half an hour away. We are in the Cotes du Thongue area, and the river Thongue flows (well, dribbles most of the time) through our village. One of my fave regions is Cabrières (not to be confused with Corbieres), but I've never seen that outside our area. If you spot any, buy it. The wine you linked to is part of the wider Pays d'Oc appellation, good honest local Languedoc wines that don't fall into any of the bigger appellations like the ones I've listed. There are also AC Languedoc wines (AC = Appellation Controllee).

Grape varieties used in the region are predominantly Grenache and Syrah, along with Mourvèdre, Carignan and Cinsault for the reds. Because of the climate in the region (Mediterranean, hot and sunny) the grapes are normally fully ripe when harvested, so have plenty of body and alcoholic potential. 14 to 15% is quite normal.

I pop into e-leclerc and grab a few boxes of this fine wine which sees me though my holidays!

Probably my only rule when buying French wine is that it should be recoltant which tends to eliminate most of the real rubbish. The rest is recommendation and personal taste.

That said, the box stuff is sometimes ok, certainly good enough for one of Yorick's parties after 4a:m.

i've been drinking too much and eating too much lately. Yesterday I decided to have a night off the booze and to not snack after my evening meal. My original plan was to stay at home and watch TV. I got invited out to play cards with some of the team here. Despite opportunity and temotation, I didn't drink and I didn't raid the fridge when I got home.

A few years ago a young local kid passed his test at 16 and got a pukka Beta 125. He came with us for a couple of years and was awesome. Youthful exuberance and skill made him try stuff we wouldn't.
Anyway he joined army at 18 and came out less

At weekend he became Spanish kick boxing champion. Still 19.

Marsh land it the back is full if various duck and some geese. Lots of chicks of various ages and young birds flying about for the first time. Seen my first baby deer tonight when i git home. One mum with one and another with two. What makes me more happy is i get a ringside seat from the Livingroom window and the sounds are better than any shite that is on the TV

I try to be good and only head into town for daytime drinkies once a month. But went wrong last 3 days.

met some pals yesterday and had a few in the sun. But noticed a couple of 'aging rockers' across the way.

Anyway, after 4 mile walk today we popped in for a couple of cold ones and these 2 lads joined our table. Were cool as fuck and we got on really well

After an hour I asked their jobs. Both pro musicians

One was a temporary full drummer for Boomtown Rats and played with them 20+ Years. Also backing drummer for Thin Lizzy for donkeys years. Long list of bands.
Other was backing guitarist for Mike n The Mechanics 10 years and dozens of other bands.

They both moaned a bit that they weren't paid what the band got, but admitted to 20 grand a month while touring,

Then they showed me dozens of pics of them with their famous pals.

Was a cool 2 hours.

I didn't piss on their bonfire by telling them I was a cool club racer
