My first attempt at carbon fibre wrapping on the radiator cowls.

Not exactly ground breaking modifying but I like it.

Mines not a 1250, but the 1200, I am truly amazed at the ESA suspension, I've had the wife and her panniers full of shoes on board and it still glides over potholes and handles the same as being one up. It must be auto levelling, the thing should be handling like a cruiser, but it's still pin sharp.

The added weight does impact the acceleration and the braking, but is barely noticeable mid corner.

He is a neighbour two doors up. Lots of the locals use him for the car wheels. When i do get round to putting my swamp bike back on the road i may give him my spare frame to coat as a naked bike looks crap with a silver frame.

ESA...Good innit? As said before, the comfort setting made me feel seasick but the other two were :thumbup: Also being able to do the preload with a button press is nice. Not that it was a big job but it's often a 'can't be bothered' job.

Are they still using WP shocks?

I'm amazed the ESA on my K12 still works. But the difference between Comfort and Sport is remarkable.

Bike hasn’t turned a wheel all winter but booked it in for a service mid April.

That includes the recall for a software update. Guy said it can take from a few minutes up to 8 hours to install just depends on the bike.

So I’m getting a courtesy bike. I asked if they had an RS but it’s more likely to be a scooter which should be entertaining.

Costing about £240 he said. Not a lot in the scheme of things.

More likely it'll depend on what state the ISO on the bike is in - if it's been kept up to date, then no worries, but if it's still 'factory fresh', then the install might take longer... ?

Bbbbut...it's software! When was the last time you did an update that took 8 hours? It's a bike not a mainframe!

Having said that, got a recall on the hybrid* so phoned the dealer...

Ah. We're waiting for the special kit. We're noting the people that need it doing but will wait until the first one has been done so we know what we're dealing with. It could be a couple of days. I hope he meant it could be a couple of days before they got the kit! :lol:

Dunno Hoss, but the sales chappie was proudly explaining it while I was wondering how the hell I'd survived this long without all these safety features. TBH I don't care if it gets updated or not but you have to keep the vehicle 'current' or it may get flagged when you sell it. With all the safety features switched on it's like sharing a pram with Nanny. :(

(So everything I can switch off, is switched off).

BIL has one of those Apple watches and if you even look at it sideways it wants to call for a hurry up wagon. We were cutting down trees last week and he had to take it off,ditto with him playing golf.

As I understood it, if the car thinks you've been in an accident, someone, somewhere calls the car, so a human will speak to you and ask if you are OK or do you need help. If you don't reply they trigger the emergency services. I think I'd gone into :shock: :roll: mode by then when the dealer was waxing lyrical about it so I may have switched off. It's just a hybrid shopping trolley car not some bonkers sort of mix of Formula 1 car and sheltered housing.

If that's what the Apple watch does, Lord help us all! (Just how big is their call centre?!).

With the skiers, their phones and watches are under layers of clothes etc. They either don't hear / feel the alert - or don't care. So the system pulls the electronic emergency cord.

One of us was paying more attention to the sales chap...she says it only activates in the car if air bags are activated. That makes sense. I find it a bit hard to believe that the emergency services have agreed to scramble based on automated alerts though.
