Log day here, 2 cubic yards of seasoned hardwood delivered roadside to top up the log store. It’s too bloody warm to be shifting that lot to the other end of the garden and then stacking it all, but it’s done now.

I’m hoping 3 cube will be enough for the winter, but who knows…

The first time I saw two yards dumped on my drive I decided the log burner was for special occasions only.

We had a snake in the house a while ago, only a little one. We think it arrived in the trouser turn-ups of a gardener/landscaper that we'd got round to quote for some work! (Baby adder I think). Saw another outside the kitchen door recently. Best thing though is we have 'slowies' They are absolutely

(Chlorine in a pool is for snakes but some do seem to like ponds and kids paddling pools ).

Snake discount? That runs at about 95% IIRC.
