Most of my bikes have been predominantly red (CB77/VFRs/851/888/Falco) but I was very taken with the British Racing Green my TL1000S came in. And I definitely wanted peak orange with the Duke 690 R - frame and wheels...

The LC was a bit of an outlier (white/blue) but has lasted the longest.

I hate all yellow vehicles but bought a yellow GS1150 as it was a decent price low ish mileage and I was offered a stupidly high trade in on my thrashed 40000 mile zx636.

I solved the yellow dilemma by covering the tank with a black baglux cover :thumbsup:

I like any colour bike except black. Grey is also well down the list.

Yellow 748 *chef's kiss*

My auld Speed Triple is "Lucifer Orange" and I like the colour very much. I don't like the orange KTMs though :P
I bloody loved the bright pink speed Triple! Kinda upset some bloke at the TT when I asked who's was the pink Triumph. But made me laugh when he said, in a quite pissed off way, "It nuclear RED"!! Is it fck red!! LOL But as a pink bike it was AWESOME!! :D :lol:

That's great. If you're 8.
See I like both of those lairy jobbies - but then, this is the bird that had a PINK blackbird!! LOL

For me, colour has a bit to do with it. And I like bright and even lairy (I wear black so rarely that it surprises people when I do!!). What I did find was that some bikes sort of Have to be in a colour!

TL1000s = red
TL1000r = blue and white
Redbirds are slow, bluebird should stay home (colours of my two BBs before the second got sprayed!!) = Black blackbirds are best and should be carb'd!
Ducati = red
KTM = tons of orange!!

Totally unreasonable, but it works in my head!! LOL

Bubble from a few forums ago bought one the year after they stopped doing that colour - she got the dealer to respray her brand new bike in Nuclear Red. :wtf:

I managed to get a black beak for it a while after that photo but changed it all back to yellow when I sold it on for the Ducati ;)

I find modern bikes all rather pointed (like an over bred Siamese cat.. with angles and spikes in all directions)

I wish that Kawasaki could do a toned down green version

Yellow bikes are my least fav

And i do quite like the orange ones - especially the black with a hint of orange up thread!

Some say blue/white bikes with gold pin stripes and pink stickers are the bestest.

That's probably the GSXR1100Ns most sedate colour scheme

I'm colour blind* too, but not THAT colour blind!

*red/green so I just see the world slightly differently (nicer :D ). Yes, I can tell what colour traffic lights are and no, I don't see the world in black and white. :lol:

I’m only joking( I’ve got the type where I can’t read Ishiara charts)not bothered about colours - I was looking at zx10’s this week after Chrisw was taliking about them and I’d love a green one.
That pink Triumph would be a no from me tho

I wanted Roulette Green when I was looking for mine, but as above ended up with Lucifer Orange.

Mine would have had a chrome frame when new too, but that was replaced under a recall.

Early 90s Suzuki colour schemes were the dogs balls. My RGV was like this one.....

I do like the yellow of my GS and the Blue of my K12, but colour on a bike isn't that important to me.

Unless it's a Rockster which has to be black and bronze.

Not really a fan of bikes in the same colours as sales reps so black and grey aren't really something I want but I also don't want a bike to look like an early 90s charvers shellsuit so tigerstripe blades and some GSXRS from around that era are out.

I do like my ghastly green Kawasaki and my 89 Slingshot though, also there have been some sbsolutely classic R1 paintjobs for a few years.

Basically I don't like boring at one end of the spectrum and technopuke at the other.
