Alright then, but I probably can't do June 9th as it's my daughter's birthday, but she might still be at Uni so would go out with her friends, I'm happy to camp, happy to make a twat of myself singing Karaoke, location, somewhere in the middle with decent roads.weeksy wrote: Fri Jan 26, 2024 6:26 pmIndeed it could. Just to pick a couple of names at random, you you turn up if it's just a beers, food, hotel (no keys thrown in the pot) type scenario?
Somewhere middlesish like Derby, Birmingham etc sort of way
It'd be good to get some new faces

Wait until you hear my rendition of Wan'drin' Star.

I can certainly manage somewhere central like Brum or Derby. And June is cool.
But this karaoke of which ye speak - is it compulsory...?

With the gold lamé and tassles? And quiff? That could be worth the price of entry...KungFooBob wrote: Fri Jan 26, 2024 8:26 pm I mostly like to murder 'Suspicious Minds', but the Live in Las Vegas version.

I'd not even considered there'd be a karaoke in truth. I was thinking more of beers, curry, beers.

The big issue for me is, if I have my kids then I wouldn't make it. I have them every other weekend and half the school holidays, maybe a little more.

Campings is a ball ache, with all the extra shit you need to carry.
Just meet up somewhere suitable, go for a whiz then stay in some Premier Inn or similar, pub onsite and bed next door.
What could possibly go wrong.

That ^ is the secret. Getting others involved in picking date or place won't work, you choose, we will come if we can.

Pembrey at the start of June works

We did a couple of summer events from one of the the other versions of the forum, where we went camping, but we did it at a pub once where you could camp but rooms were also available. That was a laugh and worked for most people.
I loathe karaoke, but sitting around a fire with booze/BBQ =
