I've got a Gennie and a Gazebo, table, etc... I'll be in the van not riding, so space and carrying food/beer is no issue at all.

decent pubs in Marshfield about 20 mins

Devizes, Pewsey and Marlborough are all within 20 mins. Plenty of accomodation.

Decent pint of 6x in devices too...

Correct. The farm is pretty isolated, so there's no walking to hotel/B&B.

But it's a 60 minute walk home, the difference is staggering.
