If you want a rare(ish) supermono class bike without breaking the bank look at Bimota BB1's.

They're not as pretty tho' (by a long shot).

I've heard that they're horrible and the vibrations make it basically unridable.
It's a BMW/rotax lump from the F650, same as the Pegaso.

That's where the Ducati supermono was so clever, it was basically a vtwin with one cylinder that didn't fire. Made it very balanced.

Yoshi wall papers for your devices.

I expect Cheesy to set this one (the 4k version) on his work laptop (cos he'll know how to get round the GP that applies the corporate one)...

I've actually got a picture of my Honda as the background in my work laptop, we don't restrict backgrounds at work, which is surprising, because everything else is restricted, I can get round the restrictions, but it's not worth risking a £70K job over.

I'm now a Honda supporter, which feels wrong and dirty.

You rarely see FZ750's these days,I'll have to get mine running again. It's currently languishing in in the 'Rainy days project' corner of the garage..

I've got a 750 in the garage, should really do something with it, also got a 911cc big bore FZ engine in the garage doing nothing.

The 700 was made for the US market, it has a shorter stroke than the 750, otherwise it's pretty much the same bike.

In the 80's I think all the Japanese made 700's for the U.S. market (Harley were crying about not being able to compete & Ronny Raygun stepped in)

There was an article in one of the magazines ages ago about an FZ750 owned by one of Schwantz's mechanics who'd liberated various bits from work to bolt onto it. Liked them ever since reading that but I don't think I've ever ridden one.

I have that article somewhere in my collection of old magazines.

They're nice to ride (for a bike that came out in 1985), the engine is smooth but not powerful by modern standards, about 85-90 bhp, they handle well for a bike with basic suspension and skinny wheels, the bikes with 16" front wheels have poor brakes, really inadequate for the weight and performance, the 17" front wheeled bikes have decent brakes. The fairing works, the seat isn't great .

I'd happily have another.

They're not powerful if all you're interested in is HP but they have a lovely flat torque curve so they shift well from low revs. Great engines for the road.

The 'plank' is an instrument of buttock torture after a couple of hours. Having said that, I did manage a 10 hour, 500 mile ride around the north of Scotland on mine.

Best not show my wife, she was lusting after a standard Rascal pickup, this would have her waving her cash around like a demented meerkat.

Hope the brakes are to match!

Probably best wear body armour too - there's not much more between you and the outside world when in the cab than if you're on the bike!
