I've never ridden one, never will probably, but based upon what's said from you, Dern, Couch etc i think they're pretty much perfect for what they need to be as a day to day bimbler with a bit of fun. I think they tick many many boxes.

I had an older 865 Thruxton and loved it. Sounded absolutely lovely when riding it!

Try a R6 throttle on it, I put one on my Interceptor, and swear it makes it easier to ride…. It’s got a bigger cam on it so less of a twist on the wrist…..

I had a Guzzi V7 II (the 750 one, not the newer 850).

It was a lovely thing, but dog dog slow and I couldn't make it handle. It's certainly no quicker than the 650 Enfield.

i took the new V7 out this week. found it to be quite nippy. i had no problem overtaking cars. i really liked the handling too. it felt light and nimble.

Another 100 mile ride today and the novelty has mostly worn off

I can’t see me have it for much longer. 46bhp is great when there’s no traffic but it isn’t when there is. I liked the bits when the road was empty but when following other cars I want about 100bhp more.

If you don’t try these things, you never know.

I can’t see me have it for much longer. 46bhp is great when there’s no traffic but it isn’t when there is. I liked the bits when the road was empty but when following other cars I want about 100bhp more.

If you don’t try these things, you never know.

They’re nice looking things, if that’s your bag. Maybe think of it as a bike version of your 2CV and lean into it.
