Awaiting the next GTA instalment.

Recently completed Dave the Diver (Excellent) and Dredge (very good). Currently playing Slay the Spire quite a lot along with Dead Cells (frustrating but excellent). I play Pubg, Sea of Thieves and Helldivers 2 with a mate online one evening every other week. Tried RDR2 having loved the first one but found it dull and directionless.

Looking for recommendations for nintendo switch

I have fortnite, but find it too intense
I have Mario kart, but thats no fun with no friends
I have red dead redemption, but it's too dull for too long between the action.

I fancy a big open world, but I don't think GTa is available on switch !?

The two big Zelda games are open world. I've only played Tears of the Kingdom, it's massive.

Been playing War Thunder for just over a year.

It’s fun but I’m never going to beat the reflexes of someone decades younger than me. Can still get the occasional top of the board tho.

Having had Fallout 4 on the go for ages, and thoroughly enjoyed it, I set up the Fallout London mod. Absolutely love it. Don't play it lots mind, only on the occasional crap weather day, but I find it most enjoyable.

A month or two ago I spotted that they'd made a next gen remake of Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, which I played to death 20 years ago on my xbox 360.

It was £50, so I said fuck that and downloaded Skyrim with all the DLC's for £15 on my PS5.

I think I'm about 100 hours in.

Funnily enough i was at a loose end last week so started another Skyrim character, and because I'm utterly shite at console games it's ended up as an archer/sneak again, because it's the only combat mechanism i am any good at.

Mrs. D recently got Portal and Portal 2 on the Switch for something like £3.

Played through them again, I played them not long after they came out but haven't touched them since. Brilliant games!

How the fuck are you lot finding time to play computer games? :wtf: I get in from work, go to the gym, eat a bit of dinner, catch the news if I can keep my eyes open that long then drag my carcass up to bed.

What am I doing wrong?

(I think the last game I played in any sort of capacity was Total Annihilation...yeah, that long ago)

Ever the practical swot, I tend to iron my shirts. I can iron a work shirt in my upstairs office, go into the bedroom to hang it up and get back in time to jiggle the mouse to keep me showing as 'Active' then on to the next one.

Just realised I've never updated this. Looking back over what I've played this year so far, there's a few

1. Pentiment, didn't finish which is very unusual for me, but got bored about 3/4 of the way through. The art style was great but was a bit too dull as a game.

2. Resident Evil 3 Remake. Was ok, got it in a sale deal with RE2 which I played last year and which was better.

3. The Devil in me, Dark pictures anthology. Freebie from PSN extra. One of the better Supermassive games although the characters are mainly annoying as usual. Trying to keep them alive is at times a challenge as they are generally twats.

4. Under the waves. A freebie indy game. Really enjoyed this, the story was pretty good and mooching about under the sea was nice and relaxing.

5. Killer Frequency. Another indy freebie. Decent little gameloop and I enjoyed my playthrough.

6. Ride 4. I dip in and out of this and it's enjoyable in doses. Ride 5 is free on PSN but can't be arsed to start again.

7. God of War Ragnarok. Hmmm. Good game ruined by the most annoying supporting characters ever :angry-cussingblack: Having to cart about or play as Atreus was painful as they have made him a totally annoying arsehat. Worse was the whole Disney set up of him and the young girl picking bloody fruit! I platinumed this and played over 100 hrs worth but it was worse IMO than the last one. The optional bosses had some bullshit false difficulty too. It was however mainly a good game and...it was free on PSN so

8. Dead Space Remake. Loved this first time around and it popped up free on PSN so was a no brainer. Enjoyable second time around too.

9. Amnesia The bunker. Cheap in a sale, I'd say this was my favourite Amnesia game. Decent atmos.

10. Assetto Corsa Competizione. Free on PSN so thought I'd give it a try. I don't have a wheel/peddles but it plays ok on controller single player.

11. Elden Ring...that took a fair while, probably 170 hours or so. Enjoyed my time with it, but think I prefer the non open world set ups of the Souls/Bloodbourne games. Without a guide pointing things out I reckon it would have taken me far north of 250 hours to have got the Platinum. Bosses were fun but didn't find them as much of a challenge as the other Souls bosses. The majority I did first run.

12. Alone in the dark remake. Another freebie and not bad. Decent enough story albeit clunky combat.

13. Robocop Rogue city. Yet another freebie. Far more enjoyable than expected, it didn't nothing special but kept me entertained with it's brains out combat and witty one liners. I'd never have bought this but I'd have missed out on a fun game.

14. Little nightmares. Another freebie! Nice little puzzle game and done in a few hours. Nice atmos.

15. Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. And...another freebie. Really enjoyed this overall. The woke women are powerful/men are horrible/same sex couples are normal was laid on overly thick but didn't spoil things. It was a far bigger game than I expected, I'd guess a good 80 hours worth to do everything. I really liked the late 1600s New England setting and who knew that Americans were less annoying when they were...British  Having said that in order to fit in with the game loop pretty much everyone is a bastard. Of the 2 I'd rate this better than God of War Ragnarok.

16. Little nightmares 2. Yup, another freebie :D Just started this last night, enjoying it so far. Love the dark atmos of it all.

Outside of PS5 gaming I've also been playing a bit of Darkest Dungeon 2 on my mates Steam Deck on a co-op run when I go over to his. I spent probably about 200 hours playing Darkest Dungeon 1 and will pick up 2 on PS when it goes in a decent sale. Think I prefer 1 to 2.

Looking back over the year my PSN extra £50 is well spent as 11 of the 16 games were all part of the subscription and I've Conscript, Crow Country, The Invincible, Alan Wake 2 plus 3 or 4 others to play which are also part of the sub, well Alan Wake is next month but still.

I don't have any PC games, but play some iphone 5 min stuff like Clash Royale and Golf Clash. Then COD mobile on my ipad. I always have been pretty crap at computer games though, especially ones that are a bit complicated.

Little Nightmares 2 finished. Enjoyed it. Dark, bleak and moody.

Just started Crow Country. It's literally like swapping my PS5 for a PS1. The aim mechanics are going to get me killed a lot I suspect!

Finally finished Borderlands 3 with a friend and now we are playing the remaster of the upgraded Gears of War. Good fun, but the graphics are a tad disappointing.
