Gonna go buy a few lottery tickets for Tuesday's $944M jackpot. The level of pleasantry will depend on my winning.

Got one of these for my step f-i-l. Really nice, heavy piece and abargain at £24.99. He will be a very happy old Solider on Xmas day.

An expensive but very pleasing purchase:

It is brilliant on machined MDF, first coat got sucked into the fibres as expected, second started filled the majority of the voids, it sand like polyfilla with 180 grit.

After sanding, the beaded moulding looked fabulous, almost as good as the machined Tulipwood I’ve got, I reckon the third coat I’ve just finished putting on, once sanded with 240 grit, will have it ready for undercoat then top coat.

The cheap sandpaper on a roll I got from Toolstation is shite though, clogs / wears out swiftly with this paint / MDF.

Danes love Liquorice, which means I can buy abominations like this in Copenhagen.

Discovered that I bought beef/cheese taquitos made with wheat flour instead of corn flour, so I get to eat the entire 50ct box* instead of sharing them as roomie can't have wheat products :)

A car wheel

Wife has a slow puncture as in four or five days it down to 5psi. I was going to put the spare on only to find its a steel wheel and tyre is well gone. Sort that out later i said some six month ago  Anyway was looking at some alloys last night and seen oner in same condition as ours with a tyre that look about the same treat of about 5mm left. One link on ebay takes to you another and i ended up loosing the link but quite glad i did. Got a message from ebay of an offer for the very alloy with tyre at 25% off.

Double bonus is the wife said cool and sent me the money. Must check she is not running a temperature.

My Ultimate Addons clip-on usb-powered heated grips arrived today. Recommended by somebody on here.

I've always been a fan of heated grips, but CBA to fit them on the KTM for the occasional mild-weather use. These are dead easy for occasional use though. I might even lend them to Muz for the quad 😎
I'm not planning on using them for a while yet, but I like the idea of the simplicity of them. I also like the fact the company is based in the Scottish Highlands 🥰

I had such a good day out snowboarding just before christmas that I decided to treat myself to a totally unnecessary new board and bindings.
Unusually for me, I simply went to the shop, told them how and where I ride. He offered me two boards, so I chose the Jones Burton and I also chose liited edtion bindings because they were orange. Should of been 1000 but he let me have it for 920
Image

Then yesterday I saw that Oakley have just released new goggles, lateste low light technology. I had struggled with visability in flat light. I went to a (different) shop, asked the price, €300 with two lenses was plenty, so I said I'd think about it over the next week. I then went home, put my kit on and went back to the shop to get them.
Image

They are great and they fit my Oakley helmet so well :bblonde:

This does mean I've spent more than my first paycheck (for 2 weeks) on new kit. But I've been saving for years and I have money in savings now, so I want to spend more of my money on things I like......

That's awesome. My BDad was in the Royal Sussex. I have a photo of him leading a (not sure the right word, squad?) of guys through Belfast when they received the Freedom of the City of Belfast. Quite cool for him as a half English/half Northern Irish protestant in Royal Sussex colours

If I ever get the bigger place, I may get one of those for my wall :)

Hope your step f-i-l loved it :D

Kinda weird for me as my Dad and step f-i-l were both in the Sussex, albeit at different times. But step f-i-ls dad was also in the sussex and in Palestine after the war which was when my Dad was there, so they have even known each other!

Anyway, yes he was over the moon with it. He put it the wall on his veranda in pride of place but has now taken it down to make a wooden plinth for it to sit on.

You could have wrapped it in Wendy Cope's poem 'To My Husband*' for the full eternity impact. :D

*with 'husband' crossed out in biro and 'wife' written above it, obvs.

Ha! Indeed

Just realised I put I got the wedding ring also from Hatton gardens- it was the engagement ring.

Another pleasing purchase that I gifted yesterday: the ‘best butt lift yoga pants in the world’. I have no shame

These are not pleasing but necessary, for them to be pleasing they'd be cast iron or plain stainless steel, but the 2 women in the house would wreck those, so these will do;

I've just taken a punt on one of these...

https://retrosoft.tech/

It might be shit, but it's only £60 and that's A LOT of games.

...and I paid by PayPal just incase it turns out to be a scam.
