David Lynch just passed away. Made some of my favourite films and probably my all time favourite tv series. Weird and wonderful man.

I never got the hate for his version of Dune, if anything I think it's better than the drawn out slightly boring Nolan version.

Absolutely a once in a generation maverick. What a body of work he leaves behind. Twin Peaks was the most compelling TV I've ever watched. And his version of Dune was superb, despite all the naysayers.

RIP man, stay weird wherever you're headed.

He more or less disowned it and it's generally agreed that most of the fault lies with the producers. I thought it was OK but I started from a position where I knew the story pretty well. Some of the cast were great...but Sting..really? Mostly enjoyed the recent 2 efforts.

When he stuck to what he was best at nobody could touch him*. (Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart, Twin Peaks). They were all a bit toned down from Eraserhead though.

My favourite film though is Wild at Heart, absolutely love everything abut that film.
