Re: Friday thread... the payday eventually one
Friday: Holy Communion at the school, spoke to headteacher who is back again after a year of chemo and surgery. Slow steps back to work. Then back to the school for Confirmation class. Off to see Spiritual Director. Back home to speak to Archdeacon about a serious issue I'm dealing with. I've got a meeting at 5pm with an older gentleman who is wanting to be Confirmed.
Saturday: Baptism service for children being confirmed. Then to a coffee morning at the other church. Off in the afternoon to visit daughter in the hospital - 2 hours drive away. Praying for light traffic and quiet roads.
Sunday: Up a bit later, then off to church to preside and preach at a church I'm helping at. Afternoon will see me chatting with someone affected by bad news.

Re: Friday thread... the payday eventually one
I've mostly been chilling today - well, went to the gym type place cos there was low flying clouds and I couldn't ski, and don't fancy doing a 'decent' walk on the roads around here at the mo!!
So, 20 mins of rowing (17 mins only using my legs cos my arm didn't like it much) then 35 mins of decent walking - not too fast cos I didn't know what jobs I'm on tomorrow and don't want to kill my legs and have to sit in a bus too long tomorrow!!
Had an attempt at a snooze but as I was waiting for the work schedule to come through, and to find out if himself is going to be in the valley tonight, I didn't really sleep!
Now back up and chilling again - need to make some food for dinner, make some sarnies for tomorrow (I do object to buying snacks out!!) then organise the flask for coffee, water bottle and other stuff for doing first thing in the morning before I head to the valley to get the Sprinter!!
Tomorrow - Currently expecting a 'not too early' start (Pick up the vehicule about 6:00, but will probably leave home about an hour before in case of traffic jams on the down. But also don't think himself will be close by sadly
So, will miss tonight's rugby but hopefully home in time to see Ireland beat England tomorrow
Sunday - no idea. If the forecast is for sun, there is a chance I might get to take the coach from La Plagne to Grenoble and back. But who knows?!!!

Work mostly.
last early on Saturday, then lates Sunday and Monday. Tuesday I will be pretending to work while I go to Costco for croissants, pastries etc for a notawayday for the whole outstation, for breakfast.
Wednesday is aforementioned notawayday where invited guests talk at all the staff for a few hours, including Accident Investigation, F&R and then us Team Managers have a slot where we will harangue people about H&S, KPI's and other assorted crap.
Then pub.
Enjoy whatever you're up to

Last night was games night with the family. 3 hours of board games and laughs. Only one falling out.
Today- building lamps I got from Poland. Currently sat in Winchester in one of our favourite coffee shops ( South Downs cycle thing).
Tonight out for dinner and drinks with the wife
Tomorrow- 7am Ocado delivery (!!!), hopefully a ride out on the bike, then we’re over to Camberly to check out a BMW 12 Nine T and also some house furniture shop
Have a good one all

Re: Friday thread... the payday eventually one
January is so long. It went on and on and on. And it wasn't a great month at Trog Towers as the lovely Saskia, the sweetest of cats, succumbed to illness and we had to say good bye. She goes to join Trog's Cat, and will hopefully appear to me in my dreams and dispense inappropriate advice. And there was more, but that's for another time. Anyway, I thought payday would bring some relief.
Then....oh its time for the annual RAC membership. Aaaargh! But I like to have the full fat cover for the whole family - a considerable fleet of vehicles these days. Hey ho. I'm skint. At least February is shorter.
