Not mine but I'm cat sitting for a lovely 'normal sized' black cat that only comes for fusses when he thinks I'm almost asleep but could be persuaded to get up and feed him, and a very beautiful Maine Coon that shouted at me from beside the bed to get up and give him food, but didn't 'land' on me, thankfully!!!

I did the Maine Coon a disservice as I thought he was a mongrel cos he's a lot smaller than I thought an MC would be, but he's just a small pure bred!!! Still pretty huge for a cat tho!!!

Cédric is about 5'10, so Loki probably isn't as little as I originally thought!!

I was told Loki likes licking yoghurt pot lids, but he wasn't so keen on mine!! Then I realised there was a yoghurt pot in the sink for rinsing, so I guess he'd already had a daily quota when my friends left at 3am

I've had 2 temporary cats. :D There was Tmax cat who lived in the bushes outside my house and would wait for me to park up my Tmax and jump straight up and curl up on the generous seat. No interest in me, just the bike's comfy seat. :D Bastard things used to hiss and spit at me if I had to move it off! :eh:

I recently had a neighbourhood cat who liked to come and see me each morning for a fuss whilst I was unlocking the bike. Lovely friendly thing and very similar colours to your neighbours one. I had to discourage it, as it used to run blindly across the road to see me and nearly got squashed by cars a few times!

Here's Arthur, just turned 12months old Border Terrier.

Image

We have resisted the long running campaign by the kids for a dog for years, for various reasons.
Then earlier this year it felt like the time was right, kids were older we both have flexible working so a dog wasn't going to be left alone for long periods, etc.
This plus the fact a friend knew of a breeder who was looking to find a home for a young dog she bought for stud who was not that interested in his duties!
That's how we met this little guy about 2 months ago, and since then he's been a fantastic addition to the family, he's smart, well mannered and wants nothing more than a couple of walks a bit of food and in return gives us all a great deal of joy.
Should have done this years ago.

Remy, the lurcher, passed way today at fifteen and a half years old of old age. It’s amazing having dogs but this bit fucking blows 😢

This is him bumbling about in the sun a couple of days ago.

Fifteen and a half is a good run mind, it's always hard when I've had to take a dog to be put down and making that decision.
Our last one got to fourteen and there were a few walks when I thought he was about knackered and then he'd perk up and I'd think he had a bit of life in him still.
The point we realised was when we'd catch him when he didn't know we were looking and he'd kind of slump.
This was pretty much his last walk and it took quite a while before we got another dog.

Our new one (Bull Lurcher) is coming up on four soon so with luck he's got a good bit ahead of him.

This is Marvin

I fostered him after his previous family went touring Europe in a campervan.
