I was playing the part of a young hooligan yesterday & the ZX11 may have seen over 2miles a minute.. actually a hair over 2.4miles a minute thanks to this here calculator.
& while I was close to that velocity, I was passed by another bike that made my progress seem positively pedestrian. I didn't even see what it was. It was mostly white. Saw him coming in the mirrors, moved to the left & he went past like I was on jackstands. Briefly gave chase, but within about a minute the fucker was out of sight... WTF??
Will have a look at the video today & see if I can identify what it was.

Once I couldn't get the battery out of mine, I tried prying it gently with a screwdriver but was afraid of damaging battery. 10 minutes later I remembered about the key stopping battery removal.Taipan wrote: Mon Apr 21, 2025 3:13 pm Got my electric bike out of the shed-of-plenty. I lost the key to it well over a year ago and its been languishing in the shed-of-plenty every since. Turns out the key was in it all the time!![]()
Battery was still charged, so a quick pump up of ter tyres and it was good to go!

Re: What have you done today thread?
Went to pick up my Ozempic refill from Walgreen pharmacy. Refill order was put in by my Dr two weeks ago
Saturday marked the THIRD time they texted me to say they had it. They lied the first two times.
Today not only didn't they have it, but I was told "we need to order it"
Why the fuck didn't you order it two goddamn weeks ago when the refill order was put in?
I don't know
& why the hell did you tell me THREE fucking times you had it ready when you haven't even ordered it?
I don't know
Forget it, I'll transfer the orders to CVS, at least they know what the fuck they're doing...

All I know about CVS is that they're internet famous for having the worlds longest receipts.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Today I removed the old (a mere two years) bathroom extractor fan, and then discovered the replacement one I'd bought is too big for the hole in the tiles (the outer square bit, not the hole diameter).
So now I'm doomed to replace it with the same model that only lasted two years, cos I CBA to fuck about attempting to cut a tile that's attached to the wall.
I also got told by the vet they now don't think my dog has a brain tumour. Which is good news, except that he's still clearly not well, and we're back to not knowing what's up with him.
Also, thinking he had a brain tumour fucking ruined my long weekend.

Bit late now - but they need to be smeared in grease (preferably silicon based high-temp) to slow down the corrosion that inevitably eats into them. (it's a very common issue on BMWs).Spitfire wrote: Mon Apr 21, 2025 6:36 pm Has the wonderful chillit come round this weekend to kindly service the gixer for me. Re: What have you done today thread?
Putting up insulation board for a garage ceiling the last few days. Lots of time consuming cutouts/mess and delays when rain interrupted play. I wanted the bikes out to get at stuff and so they weren't covered in dust.
Having a break for lunch now and I'm hoping today will finish it. I'm determined not to be working in a freezing garage this Winter.

First time off of the year, so of course the weather has decided to not play ball.
So......... I've cleaned the bathroom, washed the pots, and done battle for an hour with a bastard chain with a mind of its own

Well yesterday really. Found a studio to rent for the summer. Here’s hoping the system works and I can get into a ‘council’ place within the 5 months I have this place - otherwise I’m likely to have move to the valley
