Do Harleys have more than one?
Mine has 2
On the bars?

Nope, 1 on the bars in the customary position, 1 in the box of OEM removed parts :D

I just had a google, it's the one from www.recwatches.com right?

They seem to make a lot of watches from various race cars and stuff. They've got one that's made from titanium from an SR-71!

https://www.recwatches.com/timepieces/habu/

The Habu is a limited edition, Swiss-made timepiece crafted from the legendary SR-71 Blackbird no. 61-7956.

This iconic aircraft set a remarkable record, completing 1,454 flights and logging 3,967.5 flight hours—more than any other SR-71 in history.

Housed in a titanium tonneau case, each watch features a dial made from the aircraft’s inner engine nacelle exhaust ejector titanium alloys. Combined with unique design elements, the Habu captures the essence and spirit of this aviation marvel.

It's not terribly pretty.

This one made from an 80's JPS F1 car driven by Senna is the least ugly...

There's a hint of Tissot PRX about it, but I'd imagine it's much nicer than a PRX IRL.

They're pretty open about the brands that inspire their designs, which is unusual, I reckon. I've not seen Tissot mentioned though 😆

I keep taking it off to watch the escape wheel on the back. It's mesmerising 🤓

I may be moving on one of these: Seiko 5 Automatic 6309-8970, like this:

https://www.thewristwatcher.co.uk/produ ... -6309-8970

(Although it's in 'used' condition)

Any suggestions on where's best? But reasonably 'safe'.

If you come to the shopping centre in MK you can see an entire hypnotic pendulum clock.

It does different bell patterns for each of the quarter hours and obviously does the hours. I've spent far too long looking into it working out how it achieves that

On a semi-related Andor note. There's a scene in the latest episode where Mon is escaping the Senate... but I've been in that building and they've potatoshopped the foucault pendulum out!

Yeah, but have you ever had your picture taken with some GX-8 moisture vaporators in Mos Eisley?

I had my pic taken with some binary load lifters once, which are very similar.

So there's Foucault pendulum in the scene?
The plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'.

Foal would like it, so not being sold.

However ... Does it work, is it broken?

It's an automatic, been sat around for years. The internet suggests it can be wound manually. But there's no ratchet sound or real resistance when the wheel is turned a few times, and it doesn't work as a result of it

Thoughts?

Even brand new Seiko 5s don't offer any particular resistance when being manual wound, you can also wind them "forever" without hitting a stop.

Hmmm given it a few more twirls, no difference:(

Might have to toddle into town and find a jewellers that sells them.
