First day driving a bus for the new bunch. Only a short bus (10m) bus still cool. Admin staff up to resort this morning and a school run this afternoon :bblonde: :bblonde: :bblonde:

Tomorrow a couple of school runs, both accompanied by another driver to help me learn where the stops are and then in the afternoon a couple of hours with the company instructor in a 13m coach - I’d guess to make sure I can drive one !!! Then hopefully they’ll put me in the bigger ones more 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Life is for living. Buy the shoes. Eat the cake. Ride the bikes. Just, ride the bikes!! :bblonde:

Got a bit sick of my lawnmower sliding off the edge of slopped lawns as the wheels have no tread left. As i am a Jock i refuse to pay just under £40 per wheel. Today i came up with the bright idea to attack them with the angle grinder. Works a treat

It would wheel spin on mornings where you have a dew on the grass. Fine in a straight line but take a corner to tight its goodnight Geraniums.

Phoned the local tyre joint and the chap I spoke to had a 4.00 x 18 Avon Roadrider in stock,so I pulled out the wheel on the H1a and did battle with the roadworks and traffic to get the the shop, which is a twat to get a parking space at,for added interest.

Delivered the wheel to the same chap and sat down to wait. After about half an hour he called me and I thought, that was quick enough. Unfortunately for us all,the tyre was showing as in stock on their system, but no one had done a physical check. It'll be the middle of next week now before I do the same traffic battle.

Sigh. :(

Yeah,I can see that happening. A BT46 would do,if that's the case.

Probably a better tyre all round, the Enfield and BSA boys tend to replace the stock Demons on the 650s with BT46s.

I have 46s on the H1b and they are good enough for the bike's capabilities. I couldn't honestly tell much difference between the two. Absolutely no wet weather testing has been harmed in the formation of this opinion.

Part of the class involved putting 70% of the (100) rounds in CoM*. I think I did ok for not using the sights.. altho one frigging over-achiever put 90 rounds in the X circle & then the last 10 through the targets top lip  .. which would cause the perp to just switch off when the bullet severed the spine where it exits the skull. Guy mentioned he'd been a competitive shooter for at least 5 years

Image

*70 of the 100 rounds within the 7 circle. I put one in the 7 & the other 99 in the 8,9 10 & X. That big hole counts as "pretty good shooting" by the instructor.
13 in the 8
about 35 in the 9.. so about 50 in the 10/X, That'll spoil your day.

What range and pistol was that?

It might be fairly good rapid fire at 50 yards with a sloppy Colt Govt 45 , but pants slow fire at 20 with a target pistol.
