I've just heard that Season 2, episode 13 of Andor is going to be feature length, can't wait!
Maybe they'll confirm the baby is Poe?
Yes I'm taking the piss.

I watched the Road House reboot on Prime Video yesterday, it wasn't as bad as I expected.

The Roadhouse question is this; If both films were released today, denying the original its cult status, which one would you think is worse?KungFooBob wrote: Mon May 19, 2025 9:00 am I watched the Road House reboot on Prime Video yesterday, it wasn't as bad as I expected.

:Plonk: it was a steaming shower of shite, even without the original to compare it against it is a bad filmKungFooBob wrote: Mon May 19, 2025 9:00 am I watched the Road House reboot on Prime Video yesterday, it wasn't as bad as I expected.

I think Jake Gyllenhaal is a great actor but was terrible in this. Dunno if I missed the point of his characters personality, but he was as wooden as a pine forest!

Wild Rose with Jessie Buckley. I misread it and thought it was jeff Buckly who drowned with his boots on, but it was a great film regardless and didn't play to the more obvious ending. Got her on spotify now...

I endured this predictable crap as the wife wanted to see it through despite my protests. Then at the end of the film she declared it predictable, slow and a bit boring!

Just watched The Swimmers. Wow
First hour showing how Syrian refugees get to Greece. Then smuggled to Germany.
True story.
Then shows one of them Swimming for the refugee team in the Olympics.
Just a nice film to watch

Yeah he doesn't do a very good trans person, and after Justified etc. it's a little disturbing.

Mind you, it's been a while since I watched Sons of A.
(Didn't he also do the drag thing in an episode of Justified or is my mind playing tricks again?).

Nope. It's my memory and I'm mixing up SoA and Justified. I thought there was one episode that he glammed up and that was where the idea came from for SoA. But no.MrLongbeard wrote: Wed May 28, 2025 2:07 pmIt's been a awhile since I watched it, but it doesn't ring a bellCount Steer wrote: Wed May 28, 2025 2:02 pm (Didn't he also do the drag thing in an episode of Justified or is my mind playing tricks again?).

Re: Box Sets, Mini series, films, etc.
The City is ours.
It's not bad, based upon a drug-dealing family in Liverpool.
brings a lot of familiar scenarios up from my past... Not that i was a drug dealer, but well, i knew a man who knew a man ... Everyone knows
I'd give it a 7/10
