I knew the shed was a pretty wonky and true to form the roof leaked a couple of years later and was duly bodged watertight with a large tarp. It got to the point that it needed to be replaced, but I wanted an upgrade of sorts.
The 'poolhouse' was converted to a workshop soon after we settled in, the summerhouse is my home office and storage for bicycles and camping gear, and the shed was mostly used for storing garden machinery and wood/metal stock and spare parts for various things. The issue I had was that everything was pretty full and I needed temporary storage while a new structure was built.
In addition to the new log cabin, I also purchased a small metal shed for storing the garden equipment and erected it first. The log cabin has two separate areas, so eventually when I convert it to a den for the eldest child and his mates I can still lock some stuff away separately.
With the garden store erected and the mowers, trimmers etc. rehomed I had enough space to store the log cabin until the weather held for a week. It arrived on a curtain side lorry with one Polish driver and together we unloaded it on to the drive. Luckily I had some cold Tyskies in the fridge so gave him a four pack as a thank you for helping me. The next day it took another two hours to move everything to the shed and stack on bearers.
